With Brown leaving and the new rules adding a 10th full time assistant we are two guys short at the moment.
I'd actually expect Ofodile to move into a full time role with his main focus on recruiting but haven't heard anything regarding replacing Brown. Any rumblings?

What about Eric Wright? Roger Werhli?

Nothing I've heard. Here's a few names just for discussion.
No inside info, but browsing the possibilities:
Trooper Taylor – CBs/AHC Arkansas State
Seems to have done well at Arkansas State
Good defenses and good recruiting.
Really good recruiter at Auburn, might have some baggage.
LINK
John Neal – Oregon DB coach since 2003. He's been a mainstay at Oregon. Caught by surprise by Helfrich's firing.
LINK
Terry Fair – Cornerbacks coach Colorado State. Former Vol coach and player.
LINK
Paul Rhodes - Arkansas DB coach and former ISU HC.
Vic Koenning – Troy DC, former DC at Illinois, KSU, Clemson and UNC
LINK
Jason Jones – Ole Miss.
LINK
Clay Jennings – just hired at Houston, former Texas, former Arkansas

Bryan Brown from Appalachian State would be a coach I'd kick the tires on. He is an Ole Miss alum and has been recruiting in the SEC footprint the last 5 years. His secondary has picked off 50 balls the last 3 seasons combined.

We need someone with a Russian connection.....for more cash so we can finish our expansion plans. Oh yeah and to hack the rest of the SEC so we can play for a natty.

Rumor has it that Bert is going to pull the trigger and make him the Arkansas DC sometime in the next day or so. We desperately need a change of pace from what we've been doing on defense the last two years.
Neal might be someone worth taking a shot at. If he has solid west coast recruiting ties he might be able to land a couple of players a year from California which would be a nice complement to Mizzou's increased recruiting in Texas.

He would probably work his arse off to stay in the SEC or any other top conference

The coaching staff at App State are nothing to sneer at. Don't they have back to back ten win seasons? And while they might be doing it in the Sunbelt they have a fairly rigorous OOC schedule.

Jake Spavital would be a could choice to look at in the future. He just got hired as the OC at West Virginia.
He was the QB coach for Geno Smith and Johnny Manziel.
He played at Mo State and is originally from Tulsa (Union High School). He has coached in Texas and California.
When Heupel leaves he would be a good candidate to replace him.
