Terrell Buckley from Lousiville seems to be the top choice.
Didn't realize he was coaching. Dude was a stud at Florida State when he played even though that doesn't tell me much about his coaching.

Buckley and Townsend would be a bad arse combo of ex-players.

Think they would have a hard time recruiting dbs?

Normally, I would say they could get any they wanted, but with whatever is going on in Oxford, I'd say we'll get the leftovers.

Not sure if this was sarcasm, but no, they wouldn't. Buckley is a very good recruiter.

You have to think Townsend can work some magic with Knott in-state. I hate for that kid to get out of state.. We definitely can't have Alabama get him AND Raekwon

he's Louisville's main guy for Mississippi which would help with Simmons and Knott since he is already recruiting them

We're getting Raekwon...in 2 years.

Looks like he got a bunch of 2 and 3 stars to commit. Should fit in nicely with our staff.

He was also considered a first round bust in the NFL, but I'd take him in a heartbeat.
I wonder if Shane Beamer is a viable option? His wife and family are from Starkville and he has experience as a recruiting coordinator and ST coach.

Would Shane make the move back to MSU? It is possible. There are some days when I wish I had an old job back and I know its maroon bias but I feel like it would be a better job for him to move up faster now that dad is gone. Could he possibly move up in the ranks of coaching to a co-DC or some shite like that somewhere else. I know nothing of the man and just wondering. He scored on wife material though.

He's a nice guy, but no thanks.

He's a rising star in the profession but he's also a former Ole Miss player. He's probably one of the better ones you can get since the Buckley talk has cooled.

Who's reporting that he'd interviewed? Yeah, Buckley has cooled, but he's not out of it.
