the defense isn't going to be labeled as a 3-4 defense or a 4-3 defense but a multiple defense. He said they will run what works best and run what stops offenses.

Will Coleman and Anfernee Mullins working with the linebackers on Wednesday, he said they haven't moved positions and are labeled as 'vipers'. He said they will have their hand on the ground some in four-down looks and be in two-point stances in other looks. He said they are just opening up their techniques more and opening up more things for them to do.

Sounds like we will be showing all kinds of different fronts to offenses this year.

I'm excited about Sirmon's defense. I was skeptical at first but for some reason reading about it this morning made me feel better about it.

*peek*

Will have to see how it plays out in the season.
For as much talent as we had last year (till injuries at safety and corner hit us) on defense, I didn't think we performed that well. We never seemed dominant.

I thought Diaz got a bad wrap @ Texas, but a lot of those same problems showed up quickly at State as well. Now he seems like a 1-2 year coach wherever he is. I guess he's hoping for a HC job.

I am excited about Sirmon and Buckley as coaches.

Normally I'm not real comfortable with a 3-4. For some reason I just don't like the scheme altogether but the "viper" part is what got me. Just sounds cool.

He can call them cabbage patch kids for all I care as long as they can tackle and put pressure on the qb.

I don't know you personally, but if you ever became a DC I would be able to figure you out. Your actual defenses would probably not be very good, but you would have cool names for every position
