So, to me it seems that Leary has now recovered to pre injury status and likely won't. We continue to have a mix of bad throws and dropped balls. Receiver's don't know where the ball is going to be.

Defense lacked discipline and focus

Missouri game will determine season. If we lose to them, I think we are legit looking at 5-7, 6-6. Win and maybe we can win 8 max.

Thoughts?

Best case is 9 wins (which is very unlikely).

5-7 is absolute worst case and I don't think we lose every single game the rest of the season.

Leary is definetly not what he was pre injury but he could be far worse. I think we win at least 2 more. Not sure which ones but 5-7 is way too doom and gloom. Defense will likely be less freaked out going forward since they won't be playing the #1 team on the road at night again.

I'm still sticking with 7-5. I think we can win two more.

But, we've lost a bunch of games to close out the season and miss a bowl before so idk.

I'm onboard with 6-6. 7-5 is remotely possible with UL.

Resiliency.

This team lacks it, or rarely displays it. Seems a few things go against them (big play or lucky play by opponent, penalty, dropped pass, errant throw), and then the all-systems failure follows. See Missouri game.

They showed good fight in the TN game until when it mattered most, and couldn't get it done.

They overcame some things against Stae, but that is such a terrible team right now.

I'd like to think we'll give Bama a game, but I don't think it'll happen.

We should beat SC, but that game is on the road. If our guys start to hang their heads in that game, SC will pile on some points. Their defense is really bad, but they might just out-score us.

I feel the same way about the UofL game.

I suppose 6-6 is the worst, at least.

Coming into the season, I thought we'd have a reasonable shot at 10-2 with losses only to Bama and UGA.

Now 8-4 is the ceiling.

Anyway,
Go Cats!

I'm back to 6-6. South Carolina isn't very good, but they can score. Ul looks like a decent team.

Of our 4 losses we were blown out by 3 of them. Missouri showed how bad UT is, yet we couldn't keep up with them

I'm starting to feel we've gone as far as we can with Stoops and he has with us.

With that said, not sure if we can do any better. I think we have to accept we are a mid tier sec team fighting for a Nashville or Memphis bowl. Not the worst thing, but probably our best option.

We will see. I thi if coen is here another couple years we will be in a better spot

I do imagine we will have a really good season every few years, and then meh rest of the time. But, meh is not bad by most standards, but especially compared to where we've come from. And that's why I'm a Stoops supporter

Yeah, I can't argue that. For years fighting Vandy to stay out of the bottom spot was terrible.

Now, we generally are between 2-4 most years. Not sure how this will all work out with OU and Texas coming in. I hope we don't slide down further.

7-5 is ugly. Beating the red chickens again is beautiful.
