That sounds really nice. I take it that will replace the Nutter center?

From what I can gather, it will be an addition. There is a map that shows it better if I can find.

I was trying to reference the training center that is across the road, not the field house. The way I read this, it will be adjacent to the field house, so I figured they would repurpose the nutter center for other athletics teams.

Can we assume the $45 donor is Nutter?

Not so sure, if you look at the map, combine the training center + baseball complex + practice field = big block of land. My guess is they will tear both down and let some 3rd party build more dorms so they can make lots of money off UK. If I had to bet, whoever gets to build new dorms may be the lead donor. They have already stated the new baseball complex will be built next to the new softball complex. It would make the most sense to put the new baseball stadium where the old practice field is so you can still use that parking structure for games, but you know UK will not do the most sensible and cost effective thing.

If you can get an aerial map bounded by Cooper, Sports Center Drive, and those new dorms they are currently building you can get a visual of what may happen.

As for Nutter, some hot water there as big donor has been accused of pyramid scheme and he gave 1.6 million for Nutter LINK

While members know him as their president, Orberson is also known around Kentucky for his donations to University of Kentucky athletics. Conway's office says Orberson donated $100,000 for Coach John Calipari's Hoops for Haiti. He also has an office named for him at the Nutter Field House on UK's campus after donating $1.6 million for the expansion.

Yes, it will replace the current Nutter (across form tennis courts). That facility will be the training spot for secondary sports. They want to move football operations in one location with the stadium. My neighbor who works in athletics told me this has been in the works since last year and they finally got some sugar daddies to cough up some cash.
