Why I dislike Gator Country

The place went to shite in 09 after we beat OU for the title.
So many spoiled, "entitled" posters who act like Florida football is a god-given right to them...
This thread posted yesterday makes me sick:

We know jack shite about how this team is gonna look this year. Yet, posters over there have it all figured out and aren't willing to give our players and coaching staff a chance.
Pisses me off.

The insider board is filled with sunshine pumping. Everyone had crowned Will Grier the next Rex Grossman, and now, those people are freaking out about Harris starting.
On the free to post board, things are a bit more negative most of the time, but regardless, people had been pinning their hopes of a better offense on Grier, so the news that he couldn't win the job is bringing people back to reality a bit, which is that UF has some problems on offense.
I think Treon could have a good year though if he stays healthy. Muschamp let him take too many hits last year.

Yeah.. just a bit of an overreaction.
Somebody had to start. Treon is the returning starter in a really tight QB race. Big deal.
I'm not so down on Treon like a lot of people. He showed a lot of composure as a true freshman in the SEC. He has pretty good pocket awareness, runs well, and throws a really good deep ball. Grier has no college experience and he needs to prove he can play well/composed in front of 90k people.

Every singe one of the poster in the Bull Gator Den should be required to post on the SEC Rant for a month. Then maybe they learn to lighten up and wouldn't be such up uptight duouches. You can't even crack a joke over there without somebody getting furious and cryin like a cry baby bitch.

I don't think they understand how hard it's going to be to run a pro style offense behind a Swiss cheese offensive line but regardless.....

Some of the unofficial insiders over there are intolerable. You can't disagree with them without them crying to admin for them to ban you.
Also you can't say things like, 'frick YOU CRYBABY" without getting immediately banned.
In that way tRant is infinitely better.

I quit the site when it was obvious that they were interested in getting as many "hits" as possible to secure more advertising $$. There were a few "fake" stories and other posts that fed the fire....now I cant say with 100% accuracy that GC started those things...but it was suspicious. Most of them pertained to recruiting news and they would trumpet Joe Blow as a real true honest to goodness insider that lived in coaches offices....lol
I quit before 2013 thank God...could not have made it that year. Maybe my few threads & replies are positive and all...but I also tell it like it is with my O&B glasses as a disclaimer. And I am a supporter of coaches and players...and I usually give jersey numbers instead of names for that reason if I have a beef with a player.
I for one enjoy the leeway on the Rant and I can smear UT with shite...but try to keep it somewhat sane. Will direct more towards UGA after we kick UTs arse

I also heard the fake stories rumors back when I posted there.
I quit posting there after the 09 season started. Place became a shitshow especially after the UF-UT game when UF didn't blow Kiffin out after the shite talking.
I don't know what came of the fake stories rumors but when there is smoke, there is usually fire.

They've got some doozies (sp?) over there right now. It was hilarious that they posted a back story on Treon getting the job. They said they found out 30 mins prior to Macs presser that Treon was getting the nod.

Luke on 247 always posts a story the day after NSD were he basically says I knew all but I could not tell you.

While I generally I agree, I hate boards that so one sided (either all sunshine pumping or so negative it's a cesspool). This is the only site I post on, as I'd probably get banned from a UF site or MSU site based on some of my takes (and I'm generally rational).
