My eyes are going to be watching the most single important facet of our success or failure...the OL. I wanna see how Humphries, Moore play. The next pair would be Green, Brown on the line.
In my estimation we have six/seven solid guys who can start/play. Dillard is one who might earn a starting spot sooner or later....depending on how the guards play....since Garcia would be great to have back at guard if Dillard/Thurman can take over.
I want to see how much rushing yardage we gain on SEC teams...150 yds is needed at least to keep passing honest and show we can control the line of scrimmage. Can we go up against Bama and gain 150 yds or more on the ground? I think we can and Bama is still a year or two away from being 2011 version on defense. Gain 90 yds rushing or less and it means we will have had bad day at the office.

I really hope the OL gets it done. Very critical for sure.
And who the hell is downvoting our board?

The OL blocking looked OK in the spring game. Especially run blocking.
I'd say the pass blocking was pretty good too, but UF didn't really try to put a lot of pressure on the QBs.

Well....the pass blocking should be good with the emphasis on quick passing...Im more concerned about run blocking and being physical when we have to be. The stat I lean on every year is rushing stats...90% of all college games are won by the team that has the most rushing yds.
As long as we don't put the ball on the ground too many times...we outrush...we win...its that simple. Passing will enable us to run without the other team stacking the line. Our wrs will be very improved I think and we finally see our offense click. The defense will feature one of the best DL & our LBers will be one of the best in the country and our secondary will be tops in the SEC.
A lot of talent left schools in the SEC and A&M, LSU, Bama in the west wont be as potent..UGA, Mizzou will be less talented and we play USC at home. I honestly feel our team will surprise folks and be 11-1 at years end....we play for all the marbles.

Someone is mad.
D-Rob if his head is on straight.
Harris and Neal destroying anyone who makes to the second level
Adam Lane in short yardage situation. Violence in motion.

Treon Harris
You think he has a chance to start this year?
Posted on 4/25/14 at 11:10 am to Crowknowsbest
No. Driskel is a really good fit for Roper's O, so nobody is starting over him. However, Treon will have packages where he plays. I expect him to get 5-10 snaps a gm at QB.

Gotcha. I was really impressed with him last year. He just seemed to be in command of the whole field and was obviously very skilled and athletic. BTW was fierce last year.

Driskel, he's finally in an offense where he can excel.

11-1? Jesus H frick that's an optimistic appraisal of the situation.

Hey, hey. Unless you're going to be an unabashed optimist and never admit problems, we don't want none of that stuff around here.
Seriously, I love my Gators but guys around here put some dogs to shame. Tails always wagging.

Well, that is their choice. They don't deserve anymore criticism than you or I do as fans.

It's just surprising. I'm not hating. I mean, I disagree but he's totally entitled to his opinion and I hope he's right and I'm wrong.
I will enjoy him rubbing it in my face if we are in fact 11-1.

I doubt 11-1 is going to be possible... but I would love to win 10ish games and at least be competitive in any of our losses. I read other message boards like Gator Country (Swamp Gas) and they are almost universally thinking that an 8-4 season shows the program moving in a positive direction and Muschamp should get another year if so.
I personally think 8-4 would show Muschamp is not an elite coach. If 2013's debacle was entirely the fault of injuries we shouldn't be going 8-4 in 2014 with a full strength squad.
