Look don't get me wrong Nuss still does some shite that makes me go WTF was that but its so hard to call plays when you don't have full trust in your QB.

Hell if we just had someone like the Arkansas QB this game is probably 22-20 UF at halftime as we speak.

Just calling it like I see it.

There are games where I agree and Games when I don't. This game yes if we had a competent QB we could compete.

And FTR I would still like an upgrade over Nuss.

We need a new OL, OC and ST coaches. This game was never in doubt. Nuss practically ran the same plays to BP over and over again

Florida football where you put your best wide receiver in the backfield and worst running back at wide receiver and call a wide receiver screen.

If Appleby didn't self-destruct, this is a completely different game.

I've been saying this same shite on here.

Get a QB and UF is fine.

This argument is dumb. You mean to tell me we have 4 QBs on roster and the 2 we've played this year is the best we can do? Gimme a break.

They were not going to throw one of the 2 true frosh behind this oline this year. QB play changes the whole dynamic of the offense. If we had another QB other then Appleby that would take the check downs or do the throw always then this game has an entirely different complexion. Instead we have 3 interceptions and we are in a blowout.

You see, I read these excuses about "throwing a true freshman behind this OL" bs, and that's all it is. BS. No one knows how these freshmen would react. Either one could be a star in the making. But know one really knows. What's going to be the excuse next year when the OL is equally as bad or worse?

That doesn't make sense to me. Why would a oline play any different with a true Freshmen vs Appleby/Del Rio? If Trask/Franks are decent to good, we would probably have the same results as this year. Hell, if they are standouts we'd have might have 1 or 2 more wins. If either is better than we expect, they would be gone in 3 years anyway.

Gotta improve that O-line too.

Guys if its not obvious recruiting does matter and Bama has proven it. We have fallen behind and need to catch up. Our defense IMO is going to regress next year a good bit. We will see what happens. But I saw how a QB could've changed the outcome of this game the first half. The second half said the same thing I have been saying about some of our coaches the second half.

OL gave Appleby tons of time today.

Yeah, they struggled to run, but so does everyone on Bama.

OL was far from the problem today.

I think Bama's OL was at its zenith 08-09 but it's still an excellent line.

Why do you think that is - talent, coaching, or both?

Both. Saban is the best at hiring guys who can recruit and coach to match his process at bama. He's great at putting the pieces to the puzzle together

A average QB would make the team Better but we still need more talent and better coaching to be a playoff team. If Mac is such a great play caller then he should fired Nuss and hire a great recruiter at OC and groom him to be a good OC. We need better recruiting and play calling. Unless we have a superstar QB we are not going to be a playoff team with the talent and coaches we have.
