Can establish his history as a premier Athletic Director. Time to see if he’s matured and willing to open up his search away from the buddy system. He has hired a new FB coach and WBB coach. Both up and comers so to say. What he does now could make him a hero or a zero.

What do you think? Major sport hires all within 12 months or less. I hope it all works out.

I hope that he is up to the task. As a Gator fan I hope he succeeds. Go Gators.

I think his hires have not been too bad. Even though I have a (probably irrational) dislike of Dan Mullen (and I HATED that hire), looking back, it wasn't the worst hire given the circumstances.

His main issue has been giving bad contract extensions to mediocre to bad coaches. But, even then, he has found ways to structure those extensions in such a way that makes it easier to fire coaches without having to pay the full buy out. And how he got rid of Mike White without having to pay the buyout was very shrewd.

If he's half as good at hiring coaches as he is as firing them, I think we'll be alright.
