I see they finally gave GA a decent SEC one with @Bama and @Texas.

We’ll most likely go 6-6 this year due to not having a QB. Will be lucky to go 6-6 in 2024. Might as well fire up the coaching search because Napier was set up to fail.

This can not be the correct order of the games
At least I hope not.

Florida State has been and should always be our final regular season game.

If this school is dumb enough to fire him after 3 years, we deserve to be mediocre.

He wasnt set up to fail. We will have more talent overall than most teams on our schedule in 2024 - 9 of the 12 anyway or 8 of the 12 at worst. The QB situation falls on Napier. He didnt sign one high school blue chip QB his first 2 classes and he brought Miller and Mertz here so he owns it. He better hope Simmons is here this month and is a fast learner to start in 2024 or get the big boosters to get us a one year proven QB in the portal. If KY can get one like that in the portal we should be able to.

Disagree. We would be saying we are KY in football now if we allowed 3 straight seasons of 6-6 or 7-5. Every hired head coach in the last 50 plus years at UF had at least an 8 win regular season in their first 2 seasons I think and off the top of my head I cant think of any modern championship/playoff coach who didnt have a 10 win+ pre-bowl record in their first 3 full seasons at that school.

I really wonder what you guys are basing this on

High school and portal rankings. We are young in 2023 but will have more talent overall than everyone we face but GA, LSU and FSU. QB is where we are outgunned by probably 8 of the 12 teams on our 2023 schedule.

Rumor has it that Simmons has already reclassified to 2023. IF that's true, can't fault him on QBs too much.

What the hell does the SEC keep sending us to the state of Texas?

They'd probably love to manufacture a rivalry between teams from the two largest (population) SEC states with the largest metropolitan centers and markets in the league.

Texas and Florida are getting tons of national attention for all the people moving there (TX from CA and FL from NY), so there's a ton of potential to build it into big match ups if UF and Texas (or even aggy) ever get their acts together.

I hope so. Maybe if he does come here this month he could be a possibility for 2024.

I don't mind tbh - Aggies fans are pretty cool, but I have no idea about Longhorns fans IRL lol
