To say Im glad to see Coach Strong doing well at Texas. He put some great defenses on the field for us and I wanted to see him do well as long as it wasnt against us :)

Yeah I liked Strong too. The way the rumor goes when Urban said he was leaving in 09, Strong was set to get the job. Urban didn't like that and thought he should have a say in it (he wanted Addazio to get it) and came back in 2010 to essentially block the move.

I thought the rumor was that Urban wanted Strong to get it, but either Foley didn't want him, or Strong didn't want to ditch Louisville because they were the only school after like 5 years of applying to get him the chance to be an HC. When Urban realized someone that wasn't from his tree was going to get the job and change everything he built, he decided to come back. I mean, the rumor was probably BS.
Pretty sure Urban loved Strong. So I highly doubt he would come back just to spite Strong.

I will also add, "glad he isn't our coach". But best of luck to him.
