There's some wacky games now though.

UTSA is up 17-7 on Texas

And Ark was losing to Missouri State at the half.

I can’t figure out what’s changed between Utah and now. Maybe just some first game luck, or lots of time to prepare? It’s obvious we are lacking some elite skill and depth in a lot of positions though.

And I know he’s only started 4 games or whatever, but I’m not impressed with AR’s decision making and his lack of touch. Even on plays when he’s got 5-6 seconds he over throws guys. He seems really hesitant to run as well.

And as well as I think the defense has played compared to a Grantham defense, this bend but don’t break defense is hard to watch at times.

I’ll be glad when Rob Sale isn’t calling plays anymore. This guy is a f*cking moron.

We run it down their throats, but hell…don’t do what’s been working. Throw that bitch.

That was ugly. UT should easily win next week.

Since he is the only one on defense that ever makes a play in the backfield; that doesn’t make a damn bit of sense.

I have to say I’m thoroughly unimpressed to this point. We don’t seem to be any more disciplined than we were last year. We don’t have the athletes, the depth, and some of the calls we make on both sides of the ball are questionable.

No, these aren’t Billy’s players, but that isn’t a pass to make bad coaching decisions. USF gets a bad snap and we use both of our timeouts? They should have had to use their last timeout and then been scrambling to even get on the field to attempt a FG after their 3rd down run.

There’s a good possibility next week gets ugly.

Cox takes a lot of plays off, gets out of position and makes bad reads.

But he makes 1-2 flashy plays per game. It's why he came to us through the portal. Lack of consistency.

I'm honestly not crazy about any of Mullen's leftover players.

Napier has issues that he needs to figure out, so I'm not going to totally give him a pass for his faults, but the only players who really contribute regularly are guys he brought in from the portal (Pearsall, Johnson, Kimber) or recruited this year (ETN)

haha he was just asked, and i'm paraphrasing, "coach, you have a lights out game against a team like Utah, a team that's much better talented than a team like USF, and yet, the past two games you play nothing like what you showed in the game against Utah. can you answer that?"

napier responds with coach speak about how the HC of USF is building something special and that he doesn't agree with reporters opinion of who or how USF has played in the past.

Great point about Napier bringing in guys that are making an impact. It does seem he can properly evaluate players unlike Mullen.
