WAY better than what was expected coming into the season IMO.

Fred Johnson, Ivey, Dillard, and Thurman have all impressed me.

Halter has had his ups and downs but coming to D1 from Furman, thats to be expected.

They've all struggled in run blocking, but I've been VERY impressed with their overall performance in pass protection.

The entire offense is really young and gets better with every game.

I like what Im seeing overall. Sharpe is solid, Fred Johnson is a man child and will move inside to let Ivey play OT. Halter is sr and we have Guard prospects who havent played yet like Andrew Mike. Dillard is only going to get better and Thurman is a sr.

Riles, Dillard & Sharpe are all sophs. Dorsey, Harkless, Tyler Jordan, Ivey, Mike, F. Johnson, are all frosh. No juniors. The future is bright at OL positions. Summers doing good work. We start (as of now) 3 sophs and 2 frosh.

Fricking love it. Dillard impressed me A LOT Saturday, especially with how much hype UT's freshman DT garnered. I don't think there was pressure up the middle the entire game, and he made a great block (along with Thurman) on that long KT run. Another thing that I'm excited about is the redshirting of Sandifer and Buchanan. Both have a lot of potential at G and if I remember right Buchanan was impressing during Fall camp.

The future is legitimately bright at OL, which is just crazy to say with how things were perceived during Spring.

I didnt list Thurman as starter since they have juggled lineups and he is the lone senior. We have exceeded my expectations. The whole concept of what we do on offense is beautiful...McElwain has the offense adapted to schemes that offset our inexperience on the OL. Next year we will have loaded offense and defense will still be stout and will only need tweaks...but we are going to need to recruit a few super studs to offset what we lose.

I am extremely pleased with the way the line played in the 4th quarter, with two different units:

On the first 4th quarter TD drive, it was:

LT: Ivey
LG: Thurman
C: Dillard
RG: Jordan
RT: Halter

On the game winning drive it was:

LT: Sharpe
LG: Thurman
C: Dillard
RG: Riles
RT: Halter

With Fred Johnson and Travaris Dorsey both able to come off of the bench, I think that UF actually has a legitimate OL rotation. They still struggle mightily in their run blocking at times, and they are inconsistent (which makes sense) but when it mattered, in the 4th quarter, when Tennessee KNEW UF was going to throw, the line put together two pretty good series, and even when they couldn't hold, Grier was able to make a play.

Very impressed with the offense on Saturday in the 4th quarter. Gotta like that toughness.
