I would like to see him back and think he needs another year of college to even make an NFL roster. Win-Win

Tough decision. The OL will be better next year so he should average more a carry. But, Scarlett, Cronkrite, and the new RBs coming in will take some of his carries so he may end up with less total yards.

If he ends up with 1000+ yards and 15+ rushing tds he should probably go. He really needs to go off these last few games and boost his ypc, he's at 3.7 for the year.

From what I read in the preseason the general consensus by NFL scouts was this. They know how bad our oline is and if Taylor could muster 600-800 yds, 10 tds and improved pass protection he would be a 4th-5th rounder because there is nothing else left to prove.

Not saying that any of it is his fault, but he's been a bust in my eyes. I was expecting a lot more out of him. I will say he's made the best of his opportunity at Florida given the circumstances over the past couple of years. That's saying a lot when compared to a certain quarterback that's no longer on the team. I hope he returns just to have a break out year but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it.

I doubt he comes back.

When we think about NFL players, you have to ask yourself if they will improve their stock drastically by returning. There isn't a ton of pay difference for middle round players. Many are sick of being in school as well, so we have to consider that too.

Can we stop trashing Driskel?

He has 3,032 yards in one season at Louisiana Tech.

(He had 3,411 in all four years combined here.)

19 touchdowns (passing) 5 rushing, and 5 interceptions.

We can look at this a couple of ways, but I think it's pretty simple: He is a good quarterback. Not fantastic, not great, but good.

We would be undefeated right now if Driskel had stayed with the team and Mac was able to work with him, but instead we've got piece of shite fans like you who consistently drub him and use him as a scapegoat for our shitty head coach.

The debate's over, man, he's doing perfectly fine at LT. The team elected him captain two months of him being there (unanimously).

TL;DR

We can't blame anything on any of the players while Muschamp was HC, and we'd be better off if we hadn't run him out of dodge.

Stop fricking trashing him.

Running backs are a dime a dozen in the NFL. The top backs have proven that they can get the extra tough yard and catch the ball out of the backfield. I don't know that if Taylor leaves this year, he will even be drafted. Next year could be a chance to shine with a better line and hopefully QB play.

I watched Humphries practically play on wheels and get blown up almost regularly get drafted in the first round. It's hard for me to talk about what round they go these days.

Taylor seems a little small to go this year. 5'10'', 205 pounds.

I think he should definitely stay one more year if only to get bigger.

Putting on the size to compete in the NFL doesn't require another year in school. The pros know how to get players to optimal size to compete. I think entering would be his best option with 3 returning and incoming RBs for 2016.

How ironic if he ends up in Jacksonville?

And deep down I know that but I think he's averaging something like 3.6 (3.7 total) in conference play. He would have to:

Get his numbers up, start playing better (in general) and get bigger.

He's got a mean cut lately, though, and I'm happy to see that but against premier competition (LSU) he got 25 yards on 15 attempts. Sure, Fournette just looked bad against Alabama, but Henry tore them up. (210 yards vs. 25)

He's definitely gotta come back a year to improve his stock.

He needs to go. He doesn't have the speed to break the big ones, but he has vision, great cutting ability and can get tough yards when needed. He will do some NFL team well.

I say this knowing how many miles he has on those legs. Dude carried the load for his HS team since he was a freshman. I would love for hime to stay for us but he needs to go get paid while he still can IMO.

I like taylor, but I feel pretty confident that he's replaceable. I think Cronkite and Scarlett are gonna be good.I also don't think he has a long-term future in the NFL. He'll get drafted, but I don't see him making an impact.

I don't think staying an extra year would really improve his draft stock... I don't think his ceiling is very high, but he's certainly been a good player and has lived up to expectations. If he wants to stay, great! If he want to go to the NFL, best of luck to him.

I like Taylor...but he has been a serviceable back mostly. He needs to stay and develop even more...he isnt a special teams player...so no value there for the pros...and again RBs arent used as much as they once were on the pro level.

If he leaves this year he would be at best a 6-7 rounder or FA. Stay another year....add weight, get better at blocking and especially receiving and make some more $$. He risks getting cut by a squad early on if he leaves now.

Don;t think Taylor should leave early, but then again I didn't think we'd have 4 OL drafted last year either.

How stacked is this year's draft class anyway? Last year was big, but I don't know how many big names are leaving this year besides Elliot (maybe?)

I hope he comes back but he should enter the draft. He will share carries just as much if not more next year and if Grier missing the first 6 games then the offense will struggle , unless we someone steps up at QB. I am interested to see how he does in the combine.

BTW# I made this mistake myself....its Cronkrite with an r in his name....instead of the name of former longtime anchor Walter Cronkite.
