Thoughts from Saturday's WLOCP

1) Everbank field is a first class NFL stadium. There is no resemblance left of the old Gator Bowl.
2) The video boards were fantastic. I would love to have just one of those at Florida Field
3) The atmosphere of the fans was not typical of a UF/ug rivalry game. It felt more like a bowl game to me against a team that you want to beat but not a big rival. This could have be due to the fact most ug fans knew before the game that they would lose and had accepted their fate.
4)I am convinced more than before that unless we get more consistent QB play and resolve the kicking issues that we have little chance of winning the SECCG. We can beat Vandy, USCe, FAU and probably FSUcks playing like we are but not Ole Miss, Bama or LSU. Defense can only carry you so far and if they have a few mistakes, (LSU) we can't score enough to win.
5) It's great to be a Florida Gator and always feels good to beat ug. I am old enough to remember when wins were far between in the series.
6) Coach Mac should be the national coach of the year for what he has accomplished in his first year at UF.

Watching the replay late last night on SECN gave me more prospective on the game. Richt looked broken and resigned to his fate on the UGA sideline....no spirit, no fire.
The win was really easy and could have been a lot worse if not for the number of incomplete passes thrown by Harris. We could have taken them behind the woodshed. Running the ball was first and foremost the main objective and we did that. Scarlett & Cronkrite both were churning out yards and you could see they were ready to run through a brick wall. Cronkrite will miss first half of Vandy. Scarlett showed his wares and has that burst & has thick thighs to break tackles. Taylor has two new Gators behind him wanting snaps and he showed that he isnt ready to give away too many carries just yet.
We played a lot of second teamers in second half of the game...gave them valuable snaps. The game was basically over at the half.
Vandy will bring their solid defense to the Swamp and Im looking forward to it. Need our defense to throttle their middle school offense early and make them throw....a lot.
Clinch the east and get ready to rumble.

It was bullshite and Danielson last night on the replay called it a good call? Huh? Is that guy going blind? You can plainly see that Cronkrite actually used his nhands and pushed the guy...I knew that before clicking on the clip Straw. It cost the kid playing time and I just wonder how the replay booth could confirm it?
