This mess is not all Mac's fault.

The problems we're having is because of Jeremy Foley. Who refused to pay for top assistants like a top SEC, who refused to invest in facilities when they were needed most, who hired unproven disasters in Zook, WM and now Mac. Who's terrible negotiating led to us paying WM $6M to take our recruits and paid $5M to hire Mac and then gave him a 6 year deal from the start. Not only that he hires unproven Mike White in bball and gives a 10 yr with a 500k buyout for each year deal to a baseball coach who's sport doesn't bring in revenue. More lost money from football.

Did Foley pee in your cereal or something? give it rest, the pattern here is you bashing Foley for everything from the soccer team losing to global warming.

Foley is the greatest AD ever I forgot. Not SOS it was Foley.

I wish I had perspective on other campuses, but a big problem in my view, with regard to facilities is this: where would they go? Campus is already crowded. When it came time to start women's lax, it had to go all the way out to where the bug people are.

I hated it years ago when the NCAA in their infinite wisdom decreed that there shouldnt be athletic only dorms and then schools were forced to spread out athletes in different locations. Coaches could no longer keep an eye on their kids and the chance to form stronger bonds.
Of course the real reasoning behind this move was to make kids student athletes?

While I agree that we have fallen behind on the facilities.
There is only one AD who has won Football and Basketball titles in the same year.

That was a decade ago. How's the football team done since then?

I don't think that saying Foley might've had a few oversights means that he wasn't a great a AD. No one is perfect. We are definitely behind in facilities and personnel, and as much as I wish it wasn't true, just saying that we are Florida and that we won some championships a decade ago isn't enough to close the gap between our program and programs like Alabama.
Saying as much doesn't mean the Foley still isn't a legend. Maybe that was behind the surprise retirement though. Maybe he looked at the necessary changes coming and thought, "I've had a good run. Maybe it's time to hand the reins over to someone else."

Sorry but the day a HC says my dog could be successful running my offense. Then your offense is this bad you deserve all the criticism you get this mess is not all Mac's fault I agree but he is the head man so I am sorry but the blame will and should fall squarely on his shoulders.

I thought the Ol would progress more and I was wrong..we ended up starting a true frosh at ROT so obviously the coaches felt it was an upgrade over what we had.
I thought Johnson playing guard was out of position for him, he is tall and a mountain of a man..guards usually are a little shorter and compact to bulldoze opponents or pull for a lead block. Remember we have Stone Forsythe in the wings as a r/s frosh I believe and he is a 6'7 340 type.
I think Mac was being comical about his dog...come on.

It was complete arrogance that he hasn't been able to back up yet. As liberal as you sound, I bet you were a Hillary supporter. As much crap as he's said and done in the past, you still feel like he's a good fit. Gimme a break.

I've seen Clara-belle play, deadly accurate with some scrambling ability. A little undersized though.
Ppl need to face the fact that other than Grier, we have had mutts under Center who have not won anywhere else.

13-3 against the SEC in the regular season
11-1 at home
2 division championships in two years
Forcing facility upgrades
And all this despite having a Purdue exile, an Oregon State exile, and a 5'9 midget at QB.
Despite all of the shite we've had at QB, he's managed to win and win often.
I like the winning stuff. He's only going to do more and more of it. That's why he's a good fit.

I can't believe he hasn't fired Nuss yet.
