Mac supporters often tout how well Mac recruits by stating his 3*s are good players who contributed a lot. Mac has signed 45 3*s in 3 classes:
AC81-inconsistent and is a headache. Starter.
Cronk-Transfer
Jordan-backup OL. Passed up by younger guys
Williamson-Transfer
Daniel I-Transfer
Zuniga-Great role player
Sandifer-Transfer
Knight-Transfer
Johnson-Avg LB. Starter
Jackson-ST. Bust at WR.
Ivie-Medical
Davis-avg backup
RDJ- known more for fraud than his play
Johnson-inconsistent and avg
Buchanan-backup
Jackson-backup and ST
Ancrum- backup
Taylor-forced to play.looks lost
Dre Massey- has a TD on the year
Reese- stud
Wells- has more records with GDP than UF.
Burnett- beat out and I'm St
Perine-quality backup
Heggie-quality starter
Lenton-ST
Joseph-starter
Polite- Stud at DE
Taylor-stud
Forsythe-backup
Pineiro- stud but kickers are always ranked low
Putu-ST
McWilliams-backup and ST
Trask-backup
Davis-played but has looked LOST and gives up big plays.
Lemons-looking to transfer?
Toney-shows promise
Davis-STAR
Campbell-decent not great DT
Allen-known more for cleaning looks
Miller-suspended
Edwards-STs
Houston-suspended
Stiner-backup
Smith-injured
Brunson- Randy special poster child.

13 are starters or quality contributors
11 have transferred, Medical or are suspended
21 haven't contributed anything except primarily being on STs or are backups

13/45=28%. That's a terrible success rate.

He hasn't even been here for three years, TJ, why the frick do you guys keep attributing a class to him that he was only 1/12th a part of? Might as well say he lost the games in that year, too, because he was there in 2014 (December) -- so those games must too belong to him, no?

You're so retarded about this.

You're such a fricking idiot.
Let's just take out the 15 class. 10/28 guys have contributed. 35% that's still fricking pathetic. I'm sure you'll find a way to spin it.

That's a solid number for guys that are supposed to be depth guys.

Now he needs more blue chip guys to go with the good evaluation of 3 star guys.

You're seeing that happen in the 2018 and 2019 classes.

Man the future is bright with Mac at the helm. Just think, 2 Eastern division championships with 3 stars and now the 4 and 5 stars are coming on in 2018 and 2019. Recruiting is picking up and we are about dominate like the 1990s.
Go Gators!

That is about the correct percentage on successful three stars at a school like UF.

Just look back from 2005-2016. Every first round pick but the Pouncey's were highly rated recruits. Every, single, one.

Notice Alabama rarely signs more than a few three stars? Notice Meyer rarely signs more than a few three stars? Usually they get specific three stars like TE's, FB's, and guys with great speed or some special factor that just needs to be developed the rest of the way.

Mac built his foundation on three stars. Three star foundation does not win SEC nor National titles. If you want proof, see every champion the last 20 freaking years.
