Caught 65 passes for 713 yards 3 TD's last year. If we can land him that would fill the last glaring need and solidify this years transfer class.

He's transferring from ASU same school as Pearsall. I imagine that has to help our odds considering Ricky just went in the first round.

I agree, would be a great addition but I believe the WR room is pretty solid with lots of young talent, speed.

That is what I was thinking too, but most reporters seemed less than thrilled about that room after spring. I am with you though, and hoping Mizell and Jean can make big sophomore jumps.

I'm hopeful one of Mizell or Jean steps to too but it would ve nice to have some insurance.

Sounds like he'll be announcing Friday and i like our chances. If he does go with us i gotta give it up Napier did good with this transfer class at least on paper. We'll see what happens on the field.

I really think we helped ourselves depth wise at the very least.

lol yep. Should we be expecting 7+ wins now? The excuses are slowly fading away.

no

Badger replaced Pearsall. Different type of receiver but both very good with first round potential (Ricky was a first rounder and badger has potential).

Went 5-7 with Pearsall on the roster. Badger replaces Pearsall, but team similar otherwise.

Still a 5-7 team with last years schedule.

This year? 3-9/4-8 is most likely.

What are you going to do if we go 8-4 or better?

I know it's unlikely, but you are a non-Florida fan who puts UF down in every way possible. Will you disappear if we go 8-4 or better?

That would be nice.

I’ll give Napier credit just like I did Todd golden when he turned it around last season after a rocky start and shows some promise

Difference is, that’s not gonna happen with Napier calling plays

Period

There's been a lot of games the last 2 years where we've scored 30+ and the offense did enough we just couldn't get the stops we needed on defense. Both LSU games come to mind as examples.

We do have new DL, LB, and Secondary coaches with decent depth finally so I'm hoping that helps.

lsu isn’t a great example

They had a historically bad defense last year

The year before we had a top 5 draft pick at qb and scored 35 at home mostly because his athleticism (that long TD run at the start of the 4th) and it was garbage time so lsu was playing to run the clock off.

Much of the “we scored 28 PPG” argument doesn’t take into account how many games we scored many points in garbage time after the game was long over: Utah, Kentucky, Georgia, LSU.

Arkansas, LSU, and Mizzou were all lost on defense.

FSU the offense shite the bed that's for sure. Mainly Napier with dumbass plays.

I still say last year's team was an 8-4 team that found a way to end up 5-7.

Poor coaching, poor execution, bad schemes on defense, poor special teams play, suspect play calling.

This year will be different, fingers crossed. The Gators can win 8+ games this season, even with the toughest schedule in the nation.

Go Gators!

Give Napier some credit, he worked the portal and improved the talent level and depth in several positions.
