RIP Tyrone Young

OMG sad news...he was one of favorite players at UF. # 10 was 6'6 and skinny....and I mean skinny...even as a senior he couldnt put weight on. He played in the era of around 1979-1982 if memory serves me right. I watched him in person quite a few times close up (easier to get excellent seats back then) and I will never forget his game in 1981-82 ish against Ga Tech, he was uncoverable due to his height. QBs in his heyday were Wayne Peace and Bob Hewko (who I knew from Tampa days of partying)...they would just alley oop the pass and with 6'6 frame they couldnt contain him.

Funny thing was his teammate at the time was Bee Lang, who was very short...a real mutt and jeff story. I am amazed that time has flown so fast and that he was now 55 yrs old...it seemed like yesterday when he played. RIP.

God I am getting old.
