Firing everyone is the answer, it's just a matter of when . Will it be this year , next year or after we hire an OC to fix the offense and he leaves to be a head coach somewhere and Mac makes another bad hire. Mac needs fired more then Nuss . If he can't help Nuss fix this offense and he can't recruit then he is just wasted money . We could hire s head coach that doesn't know how to run either side of the ball or recruit a lot cheaper then Mac . Things are going to be rough with the fan base when we become Tennessee because we kept a coach that brings nothing to the team .

I can't listen to Steve Russell. Switch over to podcasts during his radio show and the Chuck oliver show (although I do like chuck Oliver)

Finch, thanks for posting that link because I read it earlier today and its fair and honest assessment imo.

Look at AU fans now...they wanna fire Malzahn now because of a loss...its maddening in the SEC.

Mac is going to be our coach in 2018 and you might as well get used to it. Is bitching helping the program? No. But I do think some wanna to scuttle recruiting by stirring shite.

I'm not happy with our results this year and most agree, but I also know why we haven't been as successful as we'd like. Sub LDR for Franks and I honestly think we win our last two games. Its not an option of course and we are faced with Franks growing pains probably. We still have half a season left and its not over yet.

If you mean the losing, yep it's not over yet...

Why are you so sure that Mac is here next year?

Because if you run off a coach after 3 years you're a fricking moron.

I think there's something to be said about the fact that Mac has had 5 quarterbacks start for him, but only two guys that he has wanted to start at the beginning of the season- Grier and Del Rio. I think Del Rio would've been the clear cut starter coming into this season had he been healthy all offseason.

Mac's two starting QBs- Grier and Del Rio- are combined 13-1 as starter. One fricked the program by taking PEDs and the other can't stay healthy.

Appleby, Treon, and Franks are a combined 9-10.

I think there's something to be said for how successful a coach is with his starting quarterback. You see what Jimbo is with his backup QB? Just a thought.

Ppl need to acknowledge the fact that we havent had a QB in years. These transfers were just bandaids to hold us over.
Grier did pretty decent.
Treon was awful
These other guys came from other teams where they couldnt start for those coaches, what made ppl think they were going to be a savior here i have no idea.

Next year if everything stays the course we'll have our best set of QBs in years

I agree but at a certain point the "next year" excuse is over. Somebody currently on the roster or committed to us needs to be our guy at QB. There's entirely too much talent on the roster at every position for the offense to be as bad as it has been.

I put it on the staff to keep developing Franks. I put it on the staff to give Franks easy reads and put him in a position to be successful on the field. I put it on Franks to hit the receivers on the field that are open.

All of these elements have not clicked. If they continue to not click, then Nuss will be fired. If they continue to not click after that then Mac will be fired. I have seen Mac's offense be successful. I have not seen Nuss's playcalling be successful. That's why I'm willing to give Mac the benefit of the doubt for now.

Like I posted on the Franks thread. Franks was thrown in a tough situation this season. You take in account we started the season missing Callaway and JS while playing friggan Michigan his first game. Thats tough. We lose our cupcake game due to the storm, that I feel was a game this team needed to gain tome real playing experience with each other. You go straight into SEC play with UT, KY, Vandy, LSU and A&M. Losing Tyrie and Toney for the last 2
UT played us tough, that loss seems to have taken their mojo.
KY came into that game trying to get a 30 yr monkey off their backs, at their house at night.
Vandy was looking pretty tough when we played them. Its off the rails now.
LSU and A&M are both tough teams. LSU just beat Auburn and A&M played Bama tough as anyone this season.

So its not like theres been a gimmie game where this kid could gain some confidence. Every week has been a brawl

Nuss will be relieved of playcalling duties no later than the end of the season. It was supposed to happen last year with him landing another job but unfortunately he wasn't hired anywhere. Mac understands the pressure that is on him right now, there's going to be changes with the staff.

I don’t know, I think part of the reason it hasn’t been done is that half the offensive staff is new. I could see him giving it to Seider in the interim.

Hell, Jalen Hurd was a freshmen last year and took Bama to the national championship.

But you can’t talk Bama around here. They’re some kind of mystical being that can’t be used in these comparisons.

Our coaches lack their own talent/knowledge to develop these players. Plain and simple.

Mond has 7 tds on the year, 4 came against ULL and Nichols. We held him to 180 yds
Fromm has one of the least pass avgs per game
Kasim Hill had less than 50 yards passing vs Texas
Yeah man, theyre ballin lmao

Franks hasnt had cupcake games to pad his stats. Hes playing LSU and A&M without Tyrie and Toney.
