I must be a masochist and want pain...lol. Visited two sites and just had to laugh at total idiotic posts.
One thread was about UK's defense being better than our offense written by some hack and most took exception to it. The problem is it is the truth to a degree. Even though we are better and getting better on offense...we are still a ways off. The poster quoted stats about the defense being weak against ECU....thats where I take exception.
If you at passing yds we gave up to ECU it doesnt look good, but obviously -13 rushing is excellent. Our problem on defense? Offense. It kept putting ECU back on the field and when you cant run a lick...you throw and throw often.
So the passing yds reflects an inordinate number of snaps ECU had...and of course we did miss on some plays...but ECU wasnt chopped liver...hats off to them, they surprised me with their efficiency in throwing and their receivers may be playing on sundays I suspect. Missing two starters in secondary didnt help much.
Another thread I read was also entertaining...but true to an extent. It was the dismay about the media ignoring us completely...except for tirade on sideline. They are sharks looking for victims the media. Well....easy way to shut them up...beat UK, beat UT and then what are they going to do? Beat Ole Miss in the Swamp and then they will have no choice cause we will be the orange and blue elephant in the room. Would love for it to happen.

Beat UK, UT, then Ole Miss, then Mizzou.

Yeah...Im hoping for that...LSU would be in our hip pocket by then...OL improves and Ivey is starting maybe then. We have the best run defense in the country...we can stop that runaway beer truck Fournette and make them throw.

I'm as optimistic as anybody, but that ain't gonna happen. We'll beat UK and Tennessee, but Ole Miss is the truth. I don't see us beating them. And Missouri is always a tough game. I'll be happy with 5-1 or 4-2 going into the LSU game. At this point, I don't think 6-0 is realistic.

Oh yeah big bad Ole Miss....gimme a break. We can beat them if we play our game and we are at home. I aint skeered about them or LSU.

The other boards it depends.
Gator Country has more range in what you can and can't say, they aren't as sensitive which is surprising. Don't go crazy, but you can write something that isn't positive and not get slammed for it, as long as it is resonable. If it isn't, you'll get slammed and it's deserved
Gatorbait has really good writers. Really like Luke and Thomas. However; the posters are pathetic homers to a degree that it's ridiculous. If you type 15-0, you'll get 40 upvotes. If you say that's unlikely, you'll get 30 down votes. People there are kind of delusional and it's ridiculous.
GatorSports is okay, but not much posting. Add in they have a bully system I've noticed it kind of annoys me how they treat posters there.
This is the best all around, but not enough of us here honestly. We need to recruit.

Ole Miss is and never will be the truth. And hell, I may be working for them in a few months, but still. They hung a bunch of points on two awful ball clubs. We also hung a bunch of points on an awful ball club, and you see how we looked against someone with a pulse.
Ole Miss' ceiling is to be the SEC's Icarus, flying to great heights only to come crashing back down after getting too close to the sun. It would be nice to be the team that goes ahead and sends the spiraling earthward.

There's also Gatorchatter and Alligator Army, which is a blog with a decent sized commenter base.
Reel, I remember this being the game you were iffy about off season. I don't know enough about this team and coach to say if we'll win or not. Just hope that we win.

Yeah...I worried about UK long time ago mainly because they are at home and want to avenge last years 3 OTs L and 28 yrs of frustration. Stoops is a good coach and has them doing much better.
If we can just get by them...then we are set up for 6-0 imho. Even if we do lose...we can still win the east in spite of the naysayers.
Again...our hope is defense...forget qbs, rbs, wrs...as long as they dont make fatal mistakes. The defense can win this for us. Cant be impatient and throw too much. OC has to just plug away and punt them deep.

Gatorchatter is one of the worst message boards on the Internet. For any team, not just Gator message boards. They're a bunch of Debbie downers or dudes that lack general knowledge about football. I posted there before I came here and I will never go back. It is an awful message board.

Ok color me wrong about Bama-Ole Miss ...I own it. But still Ole Miss doesnt scare me that much. They play Vandy this week and will be coming to the Swamp full of themselves and that fall will be loud. Take them down and then the media has no choice but to talk about us. The nut smooching love affair with the west needs to end.
