Look these next 2 weeks will be tough but let's look at this optimistically.

1. We are the only team in college football that will face Fournette, Dalvin, and Derrick Henry 2 years in a row.

2. We've seen good backs

3. Our defense is better than it was last year.

4. Do you honestly think Treon is playing any worse than he did at this time last year? Outside of the lost fumbles this year, he's been pretty much what he was last year. When we had every opportunity to beat an undefeated FSU on the road with a Heisman QB and talent on both sides of the ball.

5. Why can't we beat them at home? There's no #1 draft pick QB. We have a better offensive coaching staff than last year AND we turned Jameis over 4 times. Why not SMag or the turnover machine Golson?

6. Bama has a QB that turns the ball over and takes risks in the secondary. This plays to our strength.

7. If we shut down Henry and don't turn the ball over we can allow our defense and field position to keep us in a low scoring game and possibly be in position to steal one. Mind you, we played Bama last year in Tuscaloosa with a Muschamp offense and were it not for a few busted coverages we were very much holding our own.

8. The only thing I have no reason for optimism is our field goal and extra point kicking game. Kickoffs and Punts are excellent.

9. Also, I think we may find something at O-line...Martez Ivey...while a great talent at Tackle, has struggled at guard. If he is moved to one of the tackles or we just keep Tyler Jordan at guard the line should be able to get a bit more of a push.

10. I think we need McCalister for FSU moreso than Bama with the way Dalvin gets to the edge. If there were ever a game where we would need Anzalone back it would be these next two (specifically BAMA)

I have said repeatedly that IMO the only game that we couldn't still win without Grier was the SECCG. I still believe that is true although Harris as gotten worse as has the O-line and the kicking game every week. We will need the Defense to play their best game Saturday and give the offense a +3 turnover ratio with maybe a pick 6. The offense will need to score 19 somehow.(3 TD's and 2 missed extra points) A punt return for a touchdown would be great too.
We will go as far as our Defense takes us as long as the offense doesn't turn the ball over.
I predict - UF 26 - Clown college. 13

kmsl at the 2 missed extra points...it's pretty accurate though. I'll take 6.

Last time we REALLY needed the Defense to show up in a huge rivalry game they pressed a little bit (LSU). I hope they show up and fly around and relax and send Tone Morrison out of the swamp the right way. Undefeated. Take back the swamp! Restore the Order!

The girls school will not be playing the same team that faced FAU...trust me. 7:30 night game is perfect.

Remember last year when we picked off Winstead FOUR times in 1st qt? On the road. Our defense was playing lights out. But
Driskel throws perfect pass to our board hand TE, a richocet and a pick taken back 90+ yds and the game swung. We were leading 9-0 before then, had the ball inside the ten yd line and fixing to score when disaster struck.

Our defense is fixing to kick the girls school azz and its seniors day....Bullards last game....what a quality person he is....listen to him talk about his grandmother.
Antonio Morrisons last game and he has overcome so many injuries. Expect the girls school to cough the ball up a few times.

Bama is great and all...same team that lost badly to Ole Miss. They can be beat. Our defense just needs to make them one dimensional. A low scoring 4th qt game as long as we dont give the ball away.

I'm proud of these guys regardless what happens from here on out. I'd love for us to lay a beat down but I'm more excited for next year.

***Jim McElwain announced as HC***(Posted on 11/26/14)

The guessing game for new HC always comes with a surprise.

No one was overwhelmed and most of us did not know much about McElwain other than he was OC at Bama. Good catch Jeremy.
