I would figure as an older guy you might be more in a rush to hire someone who actually wants to be here so you can see Uf win something of note one more time before you return to the earth.

Us old folks are more patient than the younger fans. More conservative in thinking and much more balanced and steady.

Like they say, it's about the Jimmy's and the Joe's, not the X's and the O's.

It means it's more about the talent than the scheme.

Recruiting= success.

They used to say that in the 80s and 90s. I'm kind of an old fart

Why would anyone join the staff of a HC that's on the hit seat knowing you could be out of a job in a year?

So how exactly is a contract going to attract a top shelf DC who knows he may only come here for 1 year before the HC is fired and the new HC cleans house?

we might as well get ready, CRob will be promoted for full-time DC if Mullen is around at the end of the season. no DC worth their weight isn't going to come here while the HC is on the hot seat. and then you can expect the same outcome of next year. except we'll be announcing a new HC by december.

I disagree Finch no way Mullen Promotes from within not after that poor showing on Saturday.

Mullen will definitely go find a Proven DC and hopefully recruiter Stricklin will pay and they can gut this staff like a fish and let the new DC hire all his own guys get rid of every coach on that side of the ball and Start all over.

There is no one on the current staff capable of promotion to DC. Kevin Steele come on down.

I think after reading that article on floridagators.com that Mullen is 100% gone if there is one more loss. It sounds like a backing of Stricklin more than trying to cool things off about Mullen.

LINK

Considering who is releasing this I guess one reading could be its a sign of support for Stricklin himself from the biggest booster. Not mentioning Mullen himself and only the decision making when talking about internet message boards could point to that. People say Stricklin hangs out more with the big boosters than Foley did.

I've not been happy with Mullen but I have not been on the let him go now train either but keeping Jones in the game with these terrible play calling is not working Mullen.

1st and goal on the 2 and you kick a field goal just terrible play calling I feel this is the Kentucky game all over again defense playing good enough to win and the offense and play calling is playing to lose
