And the team still scores points. The offense is doing what they need to win. But this defense is playing terribly. Granted there was uncalled holding on that 4th and 17. But we still had a chance to stop and maybe fat kid misses the 40+ yd kick.

I am so demoralized by this defense.

It’s like inverse Will Muschamp.

It was a defense of underclassmen against an experienced QB, RB and stable of WRs that will be playing at the next level.

They gave up some big plays, true, but they performed better than most expected

It's been that way since 2020.

Hell, 2019 the defense was pretty shaky against teams with a pulse but dominant against fcs level teams and Vandy.

Difference is, in 2020-21 it was upperclassmen playing who looked like this.

This year, it's underclassmen.

Doesn't mean that more changes don't need to be made moving forward with staff or what not, but at least there's the possibility of improvement with the young players in 2023-24 as opposed to the TG defenses which had seniors looking like trash.
