Nope. Not yet at least. His seat isn't hot enough.

I hope you're wrong, but think you're right.

Nuss' seat won't be hot enough until Mac's seat is hot enough. By then, it will be too late. Just like the Muschamp/Roper year.

No he is buddies with him. They both think they can fix the problems that has plagued this offense and neither one of them think they are at fault. We will see if they can get it done next year. I hope they figure it out. But regardless Mac gets another year. Could care less if we got rid of Nuss.

Probably not even though he's been canned for the same problems at Bama and Michigan.

It's all about the bowl game.

In the next three weeks I expect Strickland to get a lot of calls and emails from boosters, maybe some visits too. They will tell him that things must change.

If the bowl game is good, then things will be OK.

If the bowl game is bad, Strickland will be in a bad spot. Recruits and boosters will force Strickland's hand. Many will push him to get Spurrier back on the sideline.

JMO. But, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so you should probably believe what I'm saying.

UF if it is on the internet...it must be true?

Wrong.

Spurrier isnt going to prowl the sidelines anytime soon in my opinion. Boosters will not be welcomed to suggest firing anyone on a staff that has had 2 years to build a program and have been in the SECCG twice.

Its the same cheese and whine shite after any loss.
Someone has to eat the blame sandwich. Kneejerk reactions are common in every SEC fanbase....its the passion.

I realize that yesterday wasnt pretty but I can also find rays of sunshine that things will be better. 2017 will tell me a lot about the direction of the program and if I dont see improvement...I will be on "coaching alert" myself, but lets not lose sight that UT, UGA, UK, USC, Vandy, Mizzou all wish they could be in Atlanta. If we go to the SECCG again next year there will be a fourth year for Mac without a doubt.

Going to the SECCG 3 years in a row to me means that we are knocking on the door....and of course we want to kick the door in....and you got to get there in order to do so. There is a reason that UF has its name out there with several QB transfers...Mac wants to win the SEC.

UT was suppose to be the favorite to win the east and we didnt get much play from the media because of the putrid bowl game. Win our bowl now and get a good recruiting class is going to signal UF is getting there.

I'm not sourcing anything from the internet.

That's just like, your opinion, man.

That's funny. The people writing those big checks are welcomed to suggest anything they want, at any time they want. They are not obligated to keep any money flowing into the program. Right or wrong, if they feel their input is unwelcome, they will take those dollars to a new venture.

This is not kneejerk. Recruits and boosters are going to want to see positive trajectory. They view committing here as an athlete or as a big money booster to be like an investment in some ways.

The SEC East means nothing - you have proof of that now with the playoff issue. As of now, Ohio St is considered a lock. They didn't win their own division. But they traveled and beat OU on the road so they have strong SOR.
The East is garbage yet UF has to play it. Clearly though, winning it won't mean anything. Mark my words here - the game against Michigan will do more to determine UF's fate in the rankings than anything at all related to the East.
CFB conference, divisions etc, it's all worthless now. Bowls are worthless. It's only about the playoff. The NCAA has killed CFB. So you have to stop with these arguments about winning the East. It's now officially meaningless unless the committee lives up to its word and puts PSU in the playoff and drops OSU out. But that doesn't appear likely.

That said, the barometer is Bama - be on that level, which is playoff level, or else.

Winning the East is not a mark that Mac has done well. It's not even an achievement that should be valued. The committee is responsible for that.

If boosters don't see UF on playoff trajectory they will be sure to let Strickland know. If recruits don't see that trajectory, they are going to bail.

Again, thank the NCAA, thank the committee. I think they've destroyed CFB.

He should but he won't do it. In my opinion he has to fire Nuss this year or he gets fired with Nuss if it doesn't work out. We have a young offense and will have a redshirt freshmen starting at QB next year. Now is the time to make a change .

Miz was knocking on the door after going to the SECCG in 13&14 right reel? They got destroyed in both games, recruited poorly and now have won 9 games total the last 2 years.

Thats just a joke UF...calm down. It isnt directly pointed at anyone

Yes I did note it was my opinion...have I been wrong? Sure. I predicted Thompson was going to be our savior at RB and that didnt happen. Would I stake my life on Spurrier not returning to be an OC at UF? No I wouldnt but Id put odds at 5000 to 1 at best.
