Not unless there is some reason to believe that a new school will reinvigorate him. He may be better than what we have, but he wasn't a national champ caliber coach for the last several years at Oklahoma, not to mention he only had to worry about a handful of decent programs in the Big Whatever from year to year, especially after Texas went into hibernation.

Yeah, and that would be a good way to end up with our Mark Richt (if we don't already have him).

He lost his only playoff appearance and has something like a .500 record in bowl games, seven of those losses being in BCS bowls.

I'm not saying the guy is a bad coach; he is an excellent coach who, at times, has been stellar. But he's not a guarantee either. I guess no one is, but for all the money a coach would cost from nixing Mac to actually ponying up the cash for someone worth firing Mac to have, I just don't know if Stoops is the phone call.

Bad loss. Not ready to jump off cliff since its just one game, but I will admit I am looking at the edge.

Our QBs has been shite the last few years no doubt, but our OL has not been SEC caliber since Tebow left years ago either. We can't block for the run at all. Defense held together well for being on the field so long. plus they netted our only TD's.

A change may be necessary. 11 games still to go.

All I am saying is, is that Stoops would rule the East and we would have a 50/50 shot in the Championship game.

Stop the nonsense...Stoops is burned out....Kelly will NOT coach college ball for the thousand time. He hates recruiting.

Mac will be our coach next year...y'all all wanted Franks and you got him...hope all of you are happy now. We HAVE to run the ball to win. Get those fat lazy OL out on the field and make them work their arse off.

Franks was the only good thing on offense. Don't know what the hell you are talking about.

I have a feeling it's going to be Mullen. With the hiring of Sticklin and the way that MSU has plateaued since Mullen has been there, it only makes sense.

Recruiting for the 2018 class can be easily salvaged because he can use the line, " I'm the one that coached Tebow along with winning the natty twice. Also, I coached Dak."

It's the only option in my opinion.

my take, now that I have cooled down

1 o line is still the biggest problem with offence. Weak, weak weak
2 franks isn't ready for the big time
3 Zaire is a waste of time
4 defence is young but very talented
5 we have no leadership again
6 offence in general is no better than last year
7 I am lowering my expected win total to 8
8 if things don't improve quickly, I will get off the Mac train.
