Regarding the basketball team, they have two weaknesses that I see:

They are a completely different team without Patric Young. If PY gets into foul trouble against better teams in the tourney, UF will struggle.

Free throw shooting.

This is probably one of BD's best teams in his entire time here. If Walker can contribute, the sky is the limit.

Yeah but they've got Chris Walker now if Patric Young gets into foul trouble...don't see that being an issue anymore

Walker is a beast Highlights

Just watched a portion of the highlight tape linked above. He's playing against kids half his size so I don't take much from it. I do believe he's a tremendous talent and can't wait to see him play. I hope Patric Young has schooled him enough for him to realize that College is a whole different game. I also hope he doesn't try to be a one man show and disrupt the team chemistry we have going.

If he can play within Billy D's game plan like the rest of the team has then it will be awesome to have an additional big man!! Go Gators.

As an MacDonalds AA I think Walker played against a lot of great young players and of course I disregard the high school tapes also...but he can get up in the air and one skyjam a game will make O Dome go crazy.
Billy will has already brought him down to earth, but his demeanor is infectious and you can tell he loves the game and has fun.

I'm not too worried, I think he'll fit in fine. Really can't wait to see him vs Mizzou.

Special team and capable of winning it all. We have senior leadership, defense and the determination to win.
With Walker, Finney Smith, Yegette, Hill, Frazier to go along with our seniors...we are lethal and we can break down teams mentally and physically.
The game at Rupp will be tough...have to see how our defense performs up there.

The Gators have a real shot to win it all. Very good team this year.

I think we're a shoe-in for elite 8. We have a very real shot to take it all.

Well anything can happen if you run into a hot shooting team, but this team is pretty good.

Defense wins hardware...offense sells tickets. As long as our defense never gets in a slimp...we are golden. I watched Syracuse barely escape road game against Pitt. Their inside game is good..but we would eat their guards up imo. Wasn't impressed by overall speed....2nd period & five minutes to go against us they might get rubber legs.

I look forward to watching the D tomorrow and how BD chooses to defend UK. I'm a little worried about UK's overall size. Also wondering what coach thinks is the best way to attack UK.

I like our seasoned senior lead team and don't want to lose attitude. They know this is a big big game. to come away with a W would be huge. Go Gators!

# 2 Arizona just lost and have two Ls....so Gators have chance to be # 2 if we can beat UK and # 1 Cuse has tough schedule in the ACC.

Anyone see Chris Walkers post game. He should stay in college it is ugly. Great athlete and dunker can't get a post shot close to in the basket.

Walker has only played in five games now? I think we can reserve judgment for a while...holy crap.

I agree. Needs to spend some time at UF and develop his game further. Amazing athlete, but he would get eaten alive in the NBA next year.

5 games as a Gator. Has he been practicing and playing probably most of his life. Take a look at both back down post shots he attempted someone 6'10" tall should at least hit the rim. I think some of it probably has to do with nerves. But even watching several of his highlight and recruiting tapes. It only shows him dunking and blocking. Just pointing out that I think he needs to stay and develop.

Walker will not be a first rounder if he comes out now. Offensively, he's just too far behind. He put himself in a giant hole by enrolling late and clashing with the NCAA.

We shouldn't expect anything from him save for some rest of PY and WY, a dunk here and there and a few blocks. Fortunately, that should be enough for the time being.

I'm really impressed with this team's clutch FT at the end of games.

We've lost games in the past because we couldn't close out an opponent at the FT line.
