Going into 2015 feels a little like 1990

Coming off the Emmitt Smith years we had nothing on offense but Emmitt. Everyone thought Spurrier would change things and boy did he ever. I was at his first game against Oklahoma State and Shane Matthews first start and it was 2 or 3 passes and we were knocking on the goal line door. I can't find a box score or video highlights, but it was completely different and everyone could feel it.

I know the SEC is different now than it was then, but my hope is to have an attacking offense that puts the defense on it's heels rather than one that is ball control and tries not to make mistakes.

I have tried to be cautiously optimistic but it is just not in my blood. I want to see some arse kicking!

Let's Go Gators!

In 1990 Spurrier inherited a stout defense and it helped him in 1990-91.

Remember that Shane had been suspended the year before along with Kyle Morris for gambling and that's why he wont be able to coach major college football imo.

We took apart Oklahoma St when they were media darlings and we were still in their eyes the team that had lost to bowl games UCLA & Washington before and pathetic quarterbacking. Teams prior to Spurrier just stacked the line and dared us to throw...Donald Douglass ring a bell?

The 2015 season may surprise folks...USC was preseason top ten...predictions are just that. Our defense can keep us in every game.
