I haven't been to Mizzou or TAMU but have been to every other SEC school. While it appears that TAMU has an SEC level stadium, Mizzou doesn't. The stadium is too small, no crowd noise or atmosphere. While the team has performed well and competed strongly winning 2 east championships, while the SEC East was down, i still don't feel that they should be in the SEC, seems to be a Big 12 type experience.

Stadium capacity is just at 70k which is essentially just below the median point in the SEC, we only need to add about 10k seats to get to the midway point. As far filling the additional seats it's probably slightly more of a "win big and they will come" rather than just a build it and they will come, there are more than enough fans in the state to fill 80k regularly.
Noise level is very "iffy".. when the full stadium is doing the M I Z - Z O U it's very noticeable so the fans can be loud, but yea it could be better. Of course we script our fan cheers with the announcer which kind of sucks so we could do better.
Probably you might want to actually go to a game there before registering too large a complaint.

agreed that going to a game gives you a better perspective. i did say that it just appeared that way from what i saw on tv.

TV doesn't do it justice and you can't make a decision to attend or not based on television perspective.
As far as this thread is concerned...at least two of the posters on this board traveled to the game.
