Given the current state of the football program, I’d say it’s basketball season.
Watching them play Loyola tonight, we may want to count down the days to baseball season.
There’s no reason to hit the panic button yet, but based on the first half of game 1, we look like we’ll be a middle of the pack SEC team again this year.
I will say that I’m happy to see Todd bring in some big guys. And I mean guys that are actually big, not just a guy that has to play the position. I realize they need time to gel together, and maybe that’s what’s contributing to the lack of dominance so far. Loyola has gotten some EASY buckets up to this point though.

These big guys can play.
Not sure how good Virginia will be this year, but they’ve been pretty good the past 10ish years. Tough loss, but we held our own. If the refs sucked less and we take a little bit better care of the ball we likely win the game.
This team learns to play together and we may be trending in the right direction. Fingers crossed.

Two bad turnovers by Clayton to lose the game 73-70. Team played fairly well and shows potential

Our best players shots were off this game but I think this team will be fighting for a spot in the tourney at the end. I doubt this team is a real contender to win the SEC regular season championship though.

Not even close. There are some attitude problems on this team. A couple of "me" guys. Todd Golden has his work cut out for him.

If Kugel can start hitting his shots this can be a pretty good team I think.

This is a sweet 16 team imo. Maybe even better. There are a lot of players worthy of minutes. We will see how Golden handles them.

I think Pitt is a good team and they beat them pretty handily. Was pretty much in control after they took the lead at the end of the first half.

I know Basketball is different but it's amazing what a coach can do when being aggressive in the portal.
Golden as flipped this Roster for the better. These guys play hard and they have some size. They are all just getting used to playing ball with one another this could be a very good team by the end of the season.
They were picked 8th in the SEC not sure where they will finish I say much better then 8th. but they are fun to watch

One heck of a first half.
Baylor is good, so I don't know if we'll pull it out but these guys are fighting.
Need to improve with turnovers, especially when playing fast. That really killed us earlier in the first half.
Just glad to see us going toe to toe with a top team like Baylor.

Clayton was under the weather and they were without Micah again.
Playing like they did under those circumstances vs Baylor was huge.
Beat WF on Tuesday would be huge would make them 3-1 vs. the ACC in OOC.

Tonight was not fun to watch. Fire Stricklin, find some players who actually give a shite.
