Heres some tidbits about our opponent this saturday:

I usually go to Sporting News for a lot of OOC info and use other sites too.

They have new OC Dave Nichol.
They lost pitch and catch duo in Carden and Hardy
Kurt Benkert has little experience at QB and ditto 2 others
Chris Hairston is RB and he did well against Towson.
Isaiah Jones (81 receptions) will be go to guy and their TE Bryce Williams
Top tackler returns in LB Zeek Bigger (140 stops)
Only 1 starter on DL returns from 2014
CB Josh Hawkins (5 picks) will be best secondary guy

Ruffin McNeal is HC. They play in 50,000 seat stadium in Greenville NC. so they are not skeered to play us and want revenge for bowl loss and our picked third in east division of the All American Conference.

They struggled against Towson and part of that could be the team ho hum about playing a weaker team...it happens.

I see about a 45-10 game with game close at the half. Defense smothers them in second half and their defense wears out from being on the field too long. It will be a good test for us and prep us for UK.

I don't think it'll be too close whole game. I think this is definitely a gimme at this point unless we just...really play badly.

45 - 10 is reasonable.

If this were a Muschamp team, I'd expect us to come out horribly after a big win and stink it up, but I think we come out and mind our P's and Q's like we did last week.

Good info

IMO we will see this week if the new coaching staff is as good as we hope. If the team comes out as focused and ready to play as they did last week, we have something special going on. If they come out and have penalties, blown assignments and just beat a weaker team in ECU by 2 or 3 TDs then last week was nothing to get excited about. I look for the team and the QBs still auditioning for the starting jobs to light it up. Also, the defense wants to improve on the bowl game performance. My prediction: UF 52 ECU 10 Go Gators.

I think ECU is underrated up front. They return a decent front 7. UF is going to have trouble running the football against them until they can open up things with the pass.

I have faith, however, given what we saw last week, that UF should be able to throw for a lot of yards on ECU.

Florida should win big. We beat them in the bowl game when they had there stars and we didn't have a real head coach. 55-13

Their starting QB Benkert tore his acl. Blake Kemp starts now. They beat Towson 28-20. Their RB Hairston is their main threat and they run a lot of short patterns and screens from what I've read. I'm thinking 35-13.
Former commit Deondre Farrier plays for ECU.

Thanks TJ ....didnt realize the injury happened..that could explain low score of the Towson game....my 45-10 prediction may be low based on that info but ECU does have players and we could be held to 35-45 points? A good test for our offense.

UF 45, ECU 13

ECU is obviously better than NMSU but want to see how well our DL can play for all 4 Qs. More than anything, want to see us play clean football (just 1 penalty last week).

Vegas put the line at -13.

Worries me a bit honestly. However, the big money jumped that line INSANELY quick. So that tells me all the professionals moved quick saying Vegas made a mistake on this one possibly.

I think it will be a good game till the third quarter. I think they have a decent front seven which will create issues for our line. I see a bad turnover by Harris or Grier leading to a defensive touchdown but our D plays very well.

35 -17 UF. But somewhat close in the early parts of the fourth

Our defense should eat them and spit them out...two to three scores will be set up by our def and special teams. I do agree third qt is when they cave in and give up the booty as good pirates.
