The offense is still very bad and nuss better be gone by Monday morning. Also, can we stop trying to make these damn shoe string tackles...happy we won though.

I cant blame anything on Nuss in this one. Players gotta step up. he had 3 guys blocking their DE on a rollout and gets sacked, not on Nuss. Long run, fumble... not on Nuss.

It isn't Nuss...we have a r/s frosh QB making only his second start and we are going to struggle until he gets more snaps. You cant expect him to be great yet, he will learn from every game. He still gets a little antsy and throws clothesline passes that get batted down (twice) and he puts way too much mustard on a lot of passes....he needs to stay calm and its a learning curve. The OL cant do much when you have teams stack the line and then you have third and longs. If anyone noticed...we suffered from poor starting field position except for three freaking series. Our defense just got tired and we have to make more first downs or we will see similar results and most likely without a miracle throw at the buzzer. UT KNEW we only had 9 seconds and had a brain cramp...blitzing a LB and not getting deep in coverage.

100% agree. I've given the guy shite here, and I'll be the first to say I thought he called a pretty good game. That second penalty on the first drive turned that from probably a TD to an FG, and the goal line fumble wasn't on him either. There were also a few drops here and there that were the right play call but poor finishing. The only time I was really frustrated the whole game was when they were playing it safe when we'd get backed up.
All in all, if the play calling is that solid again and the O will clean up the fumbles and penalties a little, I think we whip UK next week. That isn't to say I'm back on the Nuss train, but I honestly can't complain much.
Worst brain fart of the game was Mac believing so fully that they were going to stop the clock and measure that he didn't call a TO, but it worked out. Hopefully, he doesn't burn 30 seconds on the clock again in a situation like that.

Can we enjoy the Win for a bit? In a game where all the national guys picked against us but Corso. We actually had a pulse on offense in the 4th, got some FR the ball more that needed it and they made big plays. There's some things to be content with walking away from this game.

The offense was moving in this game.
In the first half when they were finding their footing, they had two drives, 15 plays and 12 plays, that covered 107 yards in total. They controlled clock, and it was silly penalties that prevented them from scoring TDs instead of FGs.
The 3rd quarter was rough, but that was because of a fumble, and then bad field position.
The 4th quarter they should have had a long TD run, and then they had a solid 44 yard drive for a score after a good KO return.
They averaged 6.7 yards per play, which is the highest we have had against an SEC team in forever. Just enjoy it. They have a lot of work ahead of them against UK and Vandy.

I have not been fan of but yesterday I thought he called a really good game we have a touchdown the first drive if Frank's just lobs it to Thompson he has nothing but green but over throws the screen that is going to happen off. Line was better but not much better loom next week at kentucky is not going to be easy they are scrappy and want to beat us badly.
Very happy about the performance yesterday hopefully we can keep growing and clean up the mistake keep nuss in the booth and hopefully get better each week.

It is Nuss. You must be one of those ridiculously blind homer types.
God love you.

I think Nuss did a better job against UT, even though the offense didn't put up the points, they moved the ball. They finally looked good in that 4th quarter. Hopefully they keep it up. He definitely needs to stay up top. Good move, finally.
