With Anzalone probably out and Jeremi Powell still recovering from his injury, will we run a 5-2? Or maybe a 4-3 with McCallister as SLB?

I'm thinking something like this:
DE: Bullard
NT: Ivie
DT: Brantley
DE: Cox Jr.
SLB: McCallister
MLB: Morrison
WLB: Davis
Have Maye playing close to the LOS as well.

This would give us size along the DL and some unique blitz packages as well. The only problem I see is if McCallister got caught in man coverage against their TE Jeter.

Guaranteed we'll have to rotate the frick out of our dline. I just don't see their quarterback passing -- as good as they played against the defensive juggernaut South Carolina.

Agreed. I think we'll see Taven Bryan plating some DE in obvious running downs as well. Also think Clark and Holley get serious playing time at DT.

They ran a 5-2 a few times in the Mizzou game.

We have 11 DL on scholly who are playing...believe me we will rotate as we have been doing. Since I expect run blitzs the fresh legs are needed. LB? Stop worrying Davis and Morrison play most of the game and are two of our best tacklers....its the DL that has to stop LF...just by penetrating and causing him to have to move horizonally and then LBs/Safetys can bring him down with gang tackling. # 13 McMilliam will play some...but he is not on par with # 40 & # 3. We cant have LBs shoot the wrong gaps...we will see LF the runaway beer truck headed to the house. We should have 8 guys up close to the line to stop run. I expect LSU to come out throwing to catch us off balance.

I doubt Florida alters what they do too much. Fournette has done most of his damage on big plays. The front 4 will have to win at the point of attack, and the safeties are going to have to make sound tackles.

I would play a 5-3 with McAllister at LB spying LF7
Make Harris beat us if he can.
