247
Orange Bowl
When: Jan. 1, 2020
Where: Hard Rock Stadium; Miami Gardens, Fla.
Projected matchup: Virginia Tech vs. Florida
Quick bite: Did Wake Forest squander an opportunity at playing in Miami for New Year's with Saturday's faceplant at Clemson? The loss wasn't a surprise, but the 49-point beatdown really weakened the Demon Deacons' shot to play in the New Year's Six. The Virginia-Virginia Tech victor has the best shot if the winner goes to the ACC Championship Game and has a respectable showing (and stays ranked). The Orange will take the ACC's highest-ranked representative after the Playoff.

If the gators end up in the Orange bowl. I honestly think it will be against Notre Dame no other acc school will be probably ranked and the Orange Bowl i believe has a tie in with Notre Dame since they Semi-joined the ACC with basketball joining and Football playing a 3 or 4 ACC teams a year
This is best case scenario for Florida and the Orange Bowl

If Neuter Dame is highly ranked, there is the possibility that they would play in the Orange and bring a lot of catholic tv viewers with them. They have to be rated just 1 spot within the first place acc team that isn't CFP bound (Clemson) and could easily supplant Va Tech. $$$$$$ is what makes decisions. Florida brings a lot of tv viewers also, more than UGA who would be competing for the berth instead of having to play in cold Dallas area in the Cotton. Once UGA is trounced by LSU we could be ranked higher. We would get revenge on them by having them play against a G5 team like Memphis..that would be great!!!

i was saying last week that the best option for UF in the bowl picture this year would be to play ND in the Orange.
i hope it happens, much better than playing Memphis in the Cotton. Gator fans would fill the Orange bowl, the Cotton, not so much. But...........we have to beat those Semiholes first!!!

it's funny y'all mention memphis/florida in the cotton because that's where CBS has us.

eta: i would be fine with this matchup since i plan on going and i want a guaranteed win if i'm gonna be spending that much money to go.

ND would be an amazing bowl. I'd buy tickets immediately. Would love to see that.
