Well, just like I kind of assumed, you guys (or possibly Oregon) will be getting Randy Russell. Though if FSU offers he'll definitely go there. He was a surprising committment to us because I think everyone assumed yall would be getting him from the very beginning. We didn't drop him, but we also aren't going to fight for him at all, which tells me we are just much more confident we keep Josh Jobe and Gurvan Hall than when we accepted his commitment. And apparently we really like Nigel Bethel, so basically we'll be trading a S for a CB.
We'll see if this affects Cam'ron Davis at all. Thats real

I am starting to think that our staff goes after every Miami committ. Especially after the last class and the Bell/Seider hires.
Appears to be a new attitude when it comes to recruiting for UF. A lot more aggressive for the next two classes.

I love that. I think we're starting to see a different sense of urgency for the staff recruiting wise. The results need to be there in the fall, but I'm starting to get really excited about what this class is shaping up to be and what the 2019 class already is. Mac has developed those relationships with the high school coaches and players and it's starting to pay off.
We gotta close the deal on Fields. If Mac lands him I think you will see a huge shift in the fanbases perception of the program. Even TJ might have something positive to say

Not many fans follow recruiting. Only UF beating FSU and/or Bama will change the fanbases perception.

I'm sure the UF staff does go after all our commits. Though all it proves is we're out recruiting you guys.
I mean getting Randy Russell is kind of a win because he was committed to us. But he was definitely the "worst" DB we have committed/are recruiting. And we are not even going to fight for him which should say enough.
Personally I'm surprised he wasn't committed to you guys from the beginning. And I still think that he's as good as gone as soon as he gets a fair offer anyways.
I still think you guys are going to end up with Sitkowsi tbh. But while he has the athleticism and arm talent, he kinda sucks.

9 recruits UF and Miami were both going after last cycle. UF got 7 of them. #Watchthefinish

You could be right. I don't know much about him. I like the 2 safeties commits UF has now.
Ariz from April about Russell: "They have even referred to him as a "cornerstone member" of the class. This is a prime example of the staff recruiting to a mentality as Russell fits the exact bill they are looking for."

numero uno is coming at end of the year in the Swamp. We don't know yet if we will play Bammer in the SECCG yet.
