If Mac talks to the recruits and their parents the way he talks to the press during post games we are in trouble. From what I heard this wont be the only decommit this week.

Chatter that blades will be flipping to S. Cal.

I wouldn't be shocked if we lost Telfort, Carter, and green as well.

You're talking out of your arse. And you're doing it because you want to be right so badly that you wish badly on the recruiting class. Carter and Green have been two of the most loyal commits of the cycle. Blades is a different story. Having a guy from California committed is tough. We'll see if the staff holds on to him because we really need him

Bama just offered Carter and he's sick of the offense. Telfort has always been wavering. Shannon is the only reason he's here. Green is the only imo that we have a great shot at keeping. We're screwed on the DL bad though. Jordan Scott will most likely head to FSU. We have 1 true DT on our roster for 2017. 1.

Scott weighs 400 pounds and can't move. Truesdell (spelling?) is probably our back up for Hansard. Sucks to lose him but oh well, on to the next one.
Carter isn't going anywhere, I guarantee you that. Lock it in. Telfort has been waivering for Miami, and we definitely need to keep him a priority, but Kai Leon Herbert and Alex Leatherwood andNavaughn Donaldson are all highly interested in UF. Hopefully we can keep Telfort and add one of those three guys.

Preparing for the SEC Championship Game...

Carter is my homeboy...and he plays at Hillsborough High School...my alma mater. He is a Gator and I would be shocked if he didnt come to UF. These are 17-18 yr old kids and you can never say never.
Recruiting is a long way off for a lot of kids who will officially sign in Feb....the EEs will be making decisions in the next 30 days.
And some of you are wrong when you think that W/L records are the main reason a recruits signs with a school. Many schools have had bad records and still can sign a great class. But of course the negative forces are hot and heavy...they want us to fail so they feel justified in bitching. If it wasnt this...its that and if its south then its north...every single post is poison...wonder why?
We dont know what our class will be yet. Im not worried about stars, ratings or any bullcrap. If we get some surprise players...then the negative nellies wont acknowledge it. Why?

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any team, youre not going to beat teams like Bama with sub par players I dont care who the HC is.
Yes, Mac has found some good players, but it is troubling to lose players to in state rivals and other teams because they see what we see. Commenting about the offense in their flip says it all.

We're in the same situation. We may lose Baron Browning to Ohio State because our coaches are preparing for the game on Saturday whereas Urban can put the full court press on him this week.
It sucks, but winning a divisional championship and potentially a conference championship is going to help with recruits in the long run more than being the first to visit them.
These kids are smart. They understand why your coaches can't come see them this week.

Some very much needed good recruiting news:
Florida going on in home visits tonight with 5 star recruits Alabama OL Alex Leatherwood and Ohio State CB Shaun Wade. Both are 5 stars, both are from Florida, both are early enrollees, and both are taking their last official visits to Florida before they make their final decision.
Leatherwood is 6'6 330 lb and ranked the #6 overall player in the country. Would be an instant starter.
Same with Wade. He's the #21 overall player in the country and would come in and be an elite lock down corner as a true freshman. From Trinity Christian in Jacksonville.
Bring em home Coach Mac

They are with Wade currently.

Then they are staying all day with him. I read that Mac, Gray, Skipper and Rumph are all having an in home with him tonight at 7

Yes, I think they are going all out for him to attempt to secure that final official.

I know they're getting Leatherwood on campus for his final official December 9th. That's a crucial visit. Wade is more of a long shot, but we're going balls out to get him, and it would be impressive if Mac reeled him into this class.
On an unrelated hypothetical note, if Mac was able to somehow get Stidham (pipe dream until he visits), Leatherwood, and Wade, that'd be three five stars landed in December. THATS the kinda bump in momentum we need going into signing day. It sures up our biggest question mark at QB, it gets a great OL prospect to protect that quarterback, and gets an elite prospect at our biggest position of need on defense. That would be huge for this staff.
