Florida desperately needs one pass rusher and one ready to play OL.

All 3 would be gravy.

If they had to only get 1, it has to be Ivey.

Agree Ivey is a must but with the loss of Willis we need to get one of the other two as well.

Well yeah, now it would be good if UF could get a big time DE too, but Willis was probably going to be a DT anyways.

UF has a lot of depth at DT, and although it sucks to lose an amazing talent like that, if things go well, UF can recruit another talented DT, and hopefully that next guy won't be a head case.

Right now at DT:

Bullard, Ivie, Brantley, Bostwick, Clark, and Holley - with A. Ivie coming in. That is OK depth at the position, although, I'm sure in a perfect world, you would have liked to keep Willis' potential production. Hopefully one of these guys blows up next year to help Bullard.

DE is still the much bigger issue, IMO.

Per ESPN recruiting nation out of Cowart, Ivey and Jefferson only 1 of the 3 going to gators. They didn't say which one. Said Cowart and Ivey still visiting AU and that we have ground to make up on Ole Miss and Alabama for Jefferson.

It makes total sense. I know a lot of people are trying to be positive on this, saying how they're gator fans, smart kids, good people, etc.

But by all I've learned about recruiting the last 10 years as it's blown up with the internet, it doesn't look very good right now.

New Coaches have a lot of work to do here, if they want to have any chance.

Feel pretty confident. Just going by feedback I have heard in regards to talks with the new DL coach. Cowart and CeCe will be back on campus before NSD. Both really like the new DL coach. Ivey is Ivey, kids is a Gator at heart. He will give Gus one more chance at an in-home, but if he hasn't picked AU all along, he won't pick them now IMO. CeCe is the one I'm least confident in, but I still feel UF is the most likely destination.

Ivey
Cowart
CeCe

The trio of Jefferson, Ivie and Cowart have held back and are giving UF new coaches time to meet with them/parents...if they were sold on another school...they could have announced it at high school AA game.

Cowart is Gator til I see otherwise. He is at recruiting hotbed school in Seffner and has been O&B for some time...he likes Muschamp a lot but mom wants him close and Gainesville is 120 minutes away. He likes the idea of being a savior for UF football and will/has lean on others.

Remember that Tebow & Co was front and center just eight - six years ago and a lot of these kids were playing organized football....they know the success we have had.

I think you get all 3 of you get Ivey and Cowart. Jefferson is a Wild card. I don't see him at Alabama. Especially with our tight numbers but he likes him some old piss.

Aubie's think they're grtting Cowart and Ivey lol

Bama more likely than Ole Miss, based on what I've heard.

Tell me more about this.

Also if Bama is more of a threat than congrats on cece cus o do t think we get him. Not enough talk right now about him.

We are looking to close with Harris tomorrow, Charlot WR, and 1 of Chidi Valentine Okeke or Drew Richmond (ole miss commit)

CeCe is taking a OV to Auburn this weekend. Who wants to dress in some Auburn gear and go on a sabotage mission.

I'm hearing some more chatter about Derrick Dillon possibly flipping soon. Is he still a pretty big priority for y'all? I assume he still has some sort of visit set up to UF.

I said this in a thread on SECRB....

He said he is coming back to UF for an UV before NSD. Also, have to wonder how Tyron Johnson going to LSU affects him.

Ah, my bad. I doubt Tyron's commitment will have a big impact on Dillon. We'd like another receiver in this class IMO. If Daylon Charlot flips, then Dillon definitely stays a Gator though.

Not sure if you heard but Muschamp is telling recruits that he resigned from UF becuase we are a mess. Also per a Derek Tyson interview with Cowart he knows where he is going and when asked what could change his mind he said building a relationship with the coaching staff and him and his mom. So sounds like Auburn is his destination with Florida #2.
