I'm a big Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins fan, being born in Boston, but I could never get behind the Patriots. When I was younger they just weren't that exciting. But I fell in love with the Colts while watching Jim Harbaugh gut out games on Sundays. Then they got Peyton and it just blossomed from there.

Living most of my life in SC made rooting for the Falcons as deplorable as rooting for the Braves. Everyone else loved them so that turned me off (I'm a bit of a contrarian...).

Long-suffering Falcons. Had season tickets once upon a time, follow the team pretty damn closely, and am still pissed they let go of Abraham.

I've been a longtime Redskins fan because back in the day they were our closest NFL team ... Atlanta didn't get a franchise until the mid sixties and I was already a Skins fan by then.

I liked Miami when the new expansion teams came around in the mid sixties, but remained a diehard Skins fan.

That's changing a little now as I despise D.C. these days, in general, and Albert Haynesworth and Snyder have put a pox on the Skins that may never wash off.

I'll probably always be a Skins fan at heart, because that's just how life works, but I'm going to be following Houston closely this year. I've got family there, just north of there, plus with McNair, DJ, Clowney, Joseph all there ... it's hard not to pull for them to all do well.

my diehard NFL allegiance pretty much ended with this headline below... what an a-hole. it was the original reason to hate all things Arkansas too.

Tex Schramm should have been drawn & quartered as well - back in '84. that's a whole 'nother story.

loved Bum & Big George in New Orleans as well as Sterling in Green Bay. didn't really have an interest in the NFL after Landry until 2002 when the Texans entered the league.

My bad, I wish I could take away that downvote.

I'm actually surprised there aren't more Panther fans on the SC Board.

In hindsight, probably should've let Kneehigh in.

The Panthers are the only acceptable answer to this question.

I never really got into totally following an NFL team. I've semi-followed / rooted the Ravens over the past few years but only catch a handful of their games a year (obviously because they don't come on local TV)

With that said I live in College Station, TX now, the Texans have 3 Gamecocks on their defense, are owned by a Gamecock, and have one of the best logos and uniforms in the NFL so I might have to start keeping an eye on them.

I was never really interested in the NFL until I moved to CLT 6 years. For whatever reason, I then got really interested in the Panthers. I suppose at the time I could relate to them b/c their seasons often resulted in failure like SC's. But it seems that's changed for everyone, which is quite nice.

I grew up a Dolphins fan in the 80s when Marino, Duper and Clayton were there under Shula but just haven't been able to really get into watching them since they all left. I think it's time to order a Clowney or Swearinger jersey and pull for the Texans.
