What does SO stand for?
Significant other. I would just say girlfriend but I see SO more on the internet and thought it was the proper lingo. From now on I'm sticking with simple girlfriend.

It might be a good idea to check out some of the larger hospitality companies as well. Hiring overall in the hospitality industry for entry level managers was insulated during the recession and now is growing even more.
Thanks for the advice. I realize I still have a lot of work to do before the end of April.

Switching schools right before we play A&M for the first time ever.

Good luck and enjoy CS. Hope you don't get the ghey (just kidding).

Yeah I haven't missed a home game since the 'Bama game in 2005, of course the first game I'll miss will be A&M @ SC as an A&M grad student.

But yeah I got back from CS a few weeks ago for an interview conference. Its a really cool place, relatively low cost of living, and culturally fits. You know when you're talking to former ambassadors and former high ranking CIA officials and they bring up how important football Saturdays your in the right place.

I've been chanting Go Cocks my entire life. I'm not worried.

at first I thought oh no,

then I was like, cool he'll find work.

Yeah, most History majors find work outside of that field. All my professors told me its something you do because you love it, not for the money and that the only decent money in History would require a PhD

Luckily A&M has an awesome school for international affairs and government and all that good stuff. Great networking.

The 1st day of class he was dressed like he was in a motorcycle gang or something with torn blue jeans, his long beard (shaved it shorter later), sunglasses, a leather jacket w/ fringes, and a bandanna. He went around to random people inviting them to a "sick party" and gave them his card. Then about 10 minutes after class was supposed to start and people had started to leave, he ran up to the front of the room and took his bandanna and jacket off and introduced himself as the teacher. Everyone that was respectful and nice to him when
he was "undercover" was given extra credit points.
It was a solid ice breaker.

That sounds exactly like him. He, Purnell and believe it or not Smoak were the biggest draws for the alumni functions and had the biggest crowds around them. If you haven't taken it already, take Smoaks Purchasing class. It has some of the most professional applicable knowledge you're going to get.

I go to Emory

So you're an Emorrhoid.

Just kidding, kudos to you for getting in and being able to afford it. My Mom works there (Winship) and I grew up just down the road in Decatur. It's a great school but the students have a foul reputation or at least they did with the local kids.

I am a local actually. Pops works at Emory, that's how I can afford it. Been here 15 years including my college years. I never noticed the kids from Emory being bad at all when I was at Druid Hills HS, right on campus.

I started off in the arts (yeah sue me)...

After I realized I threw away a bunch of money on graphic arts and animation in Columbia and Rock Hill, I moved to CHS to get a real job making real money.. That didnt happen until like 6 years ago.. and my company is now paying 100% to schooling to finish my second engineering degree in design @ El Cid.

Man I feel old.

Print journalism. Graduated and worked in PR for a while, and now I'm a trainer/educator for a software company.

There's a part of me that still very much misses the distinct smell in the dungeon of the Coliseum.
