Hopefully he can be brought up to speed quickly with only like 2 weeks of fall camp.

This must be the mystery DE I've heard about all summer.

Maybe...defensive end, edge. A huge position of need that they have been downplaying..
They need a body there badly.

Drew Tuazama
He is a graduate transfer and just graduated is why he is this late joining the team.

EDGE who played for UAB this past season, will suit up for the Gamecocks this season. Tuazama posted a commitment video on Facebook on Friday afternoon. TheBigSpur’s JC Shurburtt confirmed on Saturday evening that Tuazama is in the program.
The 6-foot-7, 275-pound Tuazama recorded 33 total tackles with a team-high five sacks last season with the Blazers. Tuazama also logged three pass breakups and three quarterback hurries.

There is also a good possibility that, even though he is a grad transfer, Tuazama has two years of eligibility left.
He seems to think that the free covid year is available to him.

I'm looking forward to hearing Todd Ellis try to pronounce the new names.
