Seriously though, that's not the first time I've seen college football players sign up for dance class. Those were a lot of the FR and Transfer students though. Cory Helms, Zack Bailey, Blackshear (I guess his knee is healing well,) Dexter Neal, Jalen Christian. Bailey was explosive on the grande jete'.
Seriously though, if it helps them learn balance, it will make them even better players. As Miyagi said "First Learn Balance"

I've heard of football players doing this before, as well. Seems like I've seen video of our guys doing this in the past. Whatever helps!! And you could tell quite a few of them were taking it very seriously!! Just funny to see such monstrous guys doing ballet.
Totally different subject, but what do you think about Spurrier closing all practices to the media (I understand that one..he's pissed as hell at them) and the fans?

Probably is great for balance, stability, and flexibility of their lower extremities and hips/trunk, thus hopefully leading to fewer injuries on the gridiron. It may look a bit silly but if it can condition them better and lead to fewer injuries I'm all for it. I'd do it if I was a football player, just as long as there is no toe tip moves involved haha.

Maybe the defensive line can learn a new way to do a swim move thru that.

I'm fine with it. Getting the practice reports was nice, but I care more about the finished product on the fields for gameday.

Same here. I haven't talked to anybody yet that was against them being closed. Most were hoping that Spurrier had some tricks up his sleeve that he didn't want anyone catching wind of. Wouldn't put it past him.

Such as, Zack Bailey being the short yardage FB, hence the dance classes to teach him balance and explosiveness.
