The word to describe my feelings right now: Numb, and not even comfortably.

How stupid are we?

Lonnie is correct. Napier is interviewing this weekend. I also have it on good authority that he informed ULL yesterday that barring something unexpected, he is going to be the next Coach at South Carolina.

So why did he turn us down?

You going to stick to it? I’d be kind of envious of you tbh.

I'm done baw. I'll still post on the board, but I'm officially out when it comes to donating money, going to games and watching them. Love my alma mater, but it ain't worth my sanity and health.

I quit giving money to the school when it went pretty hard on the diversity and inclusion horseshite. The University has a responsibility to teach people how to think (not what to think), and challenge all ideas- no matter how uncomfortable. I had some great classes and professors who did exactly that.

I fear that this isn't a stated goal of the University as a whole any longer. Football and athletics as a whole is a distraction. A pleasant one, but even that distraction is beginning to be painful.

He apparently wanted 5mil per year in addition to top of the line coordinator budget. While he does have hc experience, if we are going to pony up for top level coordinators anyway is he really worth 2 mill a year more than beamer?

Lance Thompson made it well-known in coaching circles that SC doesn’t have the booster support required to consistently compete in the top half of the SEC.

UGA, Alabama, Clemson, UF ... they all have way more analysts and quality control support staff than we do. South Carolina likes to act like we’ve ponied up and invested heavily into our football program like everyone else, but it’s not really accurate.

Napier was onto something by demanding a strong support staff and resources upfront. It’s something Muschamp didn’t do because he was desperate for another shot. And since Ray Tanner is a moron, he didn’t know any better.

Now we can pay out the arse to bring in good coordinators, but unless we surround them with the necessary support staff, we’re just back into the same old shite of getting overrun by schools with better networks.

Is Beamer going to bring in this mentality that gets support of ALL our boosters? We’ll just have to wait and see.
