I'm not going to touch offense b/c it's awful. However, the quality of defense (compared to last year, is blatantly obvious.)

Darius English is 3rd in the SEC in Sacks.
DJ Smith is 3rd in the SC in Solo Tackles.
BAW and DJ Smith are tied for 15th in the SEC for Total Tackles.
Chris Lammons is 2nd in the SEC for Interceptions.
TJ Holloman is 3rd in the SEC for Interceptions (and 1st for LB's making INT's.)
Jordan Diggs, TJ Holloman and Jonathan Walton are among a big group of players tied for 2nd for Forced Fumbles.
AJ Turner is 5th in the SEC for KR Yardage.

SC is 58th Nationally for Total Defense (Up 60 spots from last year.... )

SC is 31st Nationally for Turnovers Gained (Up 70 spots from last year.)

SC is 38th Nationally for Turnover Margin (Up a whole fricking lot from last year.)

SC is 28th Nationally in Scoring Defense (Up 70 spots from last year.)

SC is 19th Nationally in Pass Eff Defense (up 80 spots from last year.)

SC is 53rd Nationally for TFL's (up 50 spots from last year.)

SC is 31st Nationally for INT's (up 20 from last year.)

SC is 18th Nationally for Pass Defense *Yards Allowed (Up 100 spots from last year.)

SC is 11th Nationally for Red Zone Defense. (Up 100 spots from last year.)

I'm doing last year stats from memory. I'll go back and change them once the NCAA Stat site isn't bogged down, right now they are over que'd and I can't get in.

... and we're doing all of this with not a lot of talent on defense.

Our Defense will be better if our offense is better. That's coming soon, just down the road.

Alright so, we need more players but, for now at least, what we have are playing hard.

We've got to get better in the trenches - both sides.
