I use to post on GC a lot from 2000-2008 or 09.
The sunshine pumping to me is just as bad there as Cockytalk. I rarely ever posted on CT, I can't even remember my username on that one.

Speaking of Spurrier and his sons, did anybody else hear the commentator slam Spurrier during the game? Said something to the effect of:
"I used to coach with my son on my staff. I cannot imagine quitting on my team, much less doing so on both my team and my son, leaving him behind like that."
All I could do is shake my head in disgust at the whole Spurrier situation for the millionth time.

That's bullshite for the announcers to say that. If SOS was going to stay, he would have had to fire his son. He wouldn't do it. Talking heads are hard to listen to these days. I miss the days of getting all my info from actually watching the games and watching SportCenter before it became like the National Inquirer. I say this as I am on a message board......Frick me. And I'm still pissed about the overturned fumble call.

Double edged sword with Spurrier. This is how I look at that:
Do you step up, do the job you were hired to do, make the hard decisions that are expected with that job, uphold the commitment you made to these young men and hundreds of thousands of fans while being paid millions to do so, display the integrity that is expected of those same young men that you're supposed to be setting an example for, do you practice what you preach and not quit on your teammates....
Or do you choose to be a daddy first and professional second, dooming the program you were supposed to be dedicated to by walking off in the middle of a season no matter what you say your reasons are and show the ultimate form of hypocrisy by displaying the exact opposite of every principal and ethical responsibility you preached and preached to these players?
I'm inclined to go with the first.
And yes, that overturned fumble was utterly complete and total bullshite. It took a lot of wind out of their sails when the replay booth overturned that call. There was no indisputable evidence to support them reversing the call made on the field.
