Waiting for the big boys to jump on him. UF and Barn have already offered but we'll see how it all shakes out. T-Rob knows that state like the back of his hand so I'm sure he's been putting in the hours on this one.

I think he committed before calling the coaches though, b/c Muschamp didn't have a #SpurUp until after the kid committed on Twitter.
We are at 15 commits right now with 2 weeks left in June. I expect that Muschamp & Co's strategy this cycle will involve some processing/encouraging to look elsewhere. That's fine, as long as we don't drop that news on kids in January or later. I don't want us to look like tennessee, they're getting blacklisted by HS coaches for doing that.

3* Safety Jaylin Dickerson out of Pinecrest, NC committed today. We offered a month ago on May 18th - only other major offer is from Virginia. He also has offers from ECU, Charlotte, and App State.

2* ATH Tancy Richardson out of Aiken SC (South Aiken) has committed today. He tweeted that he "will allow other schools to recruit me cause signing day is [a]long way from now". Other offers include Miss St., Colorado St., Coastal Carolina, and Southern Miss....

Well it looks like now that Richardson's commitment is on holding pattern - there wasn't a #spursup tweet from Coach Muschamp yesterday, and according to GamecockCentral, Richardson had said at the time (after publicly tweeting his commitment to us) that he hadn't talked to our coaching staff about it, which is a "uh-oh" kind of thing.
Sure enough, Richardson has now tweeted very briefly that he has NOT committed to USC (it wasn't accepted at this time), and that in speaking with Coach Robinson he needed to wait and see how the numbers worked out. He tweeted that he was waiting to commit until NSD now, and that he would be staying off of twitter for a while.
I feel kind of bad for the kid, as it seems he was excited about the commitment and truly wanted to be a part of our class, but to go ahead and commit without checking with the staff first - right after we took 2 commits the day before from DB prospects - or having his HS HC check as well, was a mistake.
It seems he may have waited too late and had his available scholly snatched up by another. I had read that he really worked his butt off to get an offer from the staff, and then when he got it early this month, and didn't commit on the spot, you have to wonder if it was a conditional offer to begin with. I dunno, and we'll see how this plays out...

He now has not committed/they didn't take the commitment. They came up with a nice story for the kid to save face about "not wanting to shut his recruiting down right now."

The guy went to a camp, didn't give 100%, went back the next day and got an offer. Then preceded to take to twitter to proclaim that he and one of his friends were a package deal. Then committed without talking to the coaches. Best of luck to him.

Disregard that SpursUp, it was another kid trying to announce who wasn't a take at this time, I believe.

We just made 4* CB Tre Shaw's Final Four. It's US, unc, clemson and auburn. He's from GA.

Per 247, it is Zay Brown who is a take. For whatever reason, even though the kid tweeted his commitment he wants to "make it public" on his visit Monday.

SC CB Commit, Tavyn Jackson's, HS coach really believes in him. Could be coach speak, but most coaches don't go that far on bold predictions.
Tavyn's academics are in order for him to be an early enrollee and he'll be here in January.

Mathis got the offer at our camp after running a 4.4 and getting 127 inches (10.5 ft) on his broad jump. To put that broad jump in perspective, he would tied for 6th place for ALL DB's at this year's NFL combine...as a HS rising Sr. That's some real explosive ability/athleticism.
