got my tix the other day so I've been daydreaming about the away games. Love away games. I've met up with Upstate a few times at games, and met CNB 2 years ago in Columbia. Anyone interested in a get together in October?

I know CNB and I tried to meet rooster on the cockaboose but he didn't want to meet us IRL so that fell through. We still made our way onto one anyway though

Well.... did they kick your arse like their board admin instructed?

I grew up with the UGA game always being early September-hot as balls affair. Regardless of how the seasons turned out it always had a big game feel, at least from the SC side because both teams usually came in 1-0 or 2-0 and it was the first big challenge of the year. It's sad that it won't happen this year but I'm sure everyone will appreciate the cooler weather.

GarnetWay if you are in DC we should hit a bar sometime. I'm much closer to the action these days, thank god I moved away from RFK.

I am. Moved here in mid-July. I always loved SC, but knew I needed to get out to do what I wanted to do. The more I move the more I miss it though. I went from every home game from 2005-2013. First home game I missed was the A&M game in Columbia... and of course I was in College Station getting a degree. I'm hoping to get back down to Columbia for at least 1 home game since it's only a day's travel. A buddy of mine and I might actually meet for the UK game since it's about the same distance for the both of us to travel (he's in Columbia).

Sure thing, not sure if you've ever done anything for My Carolina here but I liked their page on FB to see what was up / maybe find watch parties for the game and stuff.

They're having a happy hour-type thing on the 28th which I'll probably go to.

So... It was you that caused the free fall of South Carolina football! I knew it!

I might not be too far behind you. Looking into moving to Knoxville ( ) towards the end of the year or early next year.

Yeah, I went from SC to 2010-2013. 2 baseball titles, East title in football, some 11-win seasons after that... and then all hell breaks loose after I graduate.

At least basketball is on the upswing.

A lot of orange, but at least it'll be in SEC country so you won't feel so far from home. And you'll get the chance to go to Carolina games of all sports if you choose.

And at least it's in a city. I have nothing but good things to say about A&M and its people but if you're not doing something related to the school there is next to nothing to do in College Station.

Sounds cool, I might show for that. My gf lives right near there so it would be easy to roll on by and then crash at her pad. I'm not an alum so I don't get the MyCarolina stuff but I reckon I could check out their FB page all the same. I know most Gamecock fans go to Mason Inn in NW for games though so I usually do a few games there during the season.

I will also be heading to Lexington this year as it happens, my roommate is a big UK guy and is from that area so we are gonna fly down and do it right. As it gets closer we can chat about meeting up to have a friendly face in enemy territory haha.

Them, buds, among other treats. Especially for the UGA game. More than welcome as long as you don't have a problem drinking with 3 Marines.

I'll be there. Then again, I live downtown so there's no reason for me not to be.

QCC doesn't post on here much anymore, but he and I tailgate together still. More than welcome to stop by.
