It's his first fricking year. None of us expected to win this game.

Because maybe we don't have the talent this year?

Do you blame that on Muschamp? We won 3 games last year. We improved significantly in his first year.

Quit being spoiled and impatient. This was a bad matchup from the start and it shouldn't take away from what Muschamp has done with a VERY bad team.

good choice to let the clock run to 1:21 2Q before running a 2/goal play. Roper apparently didn't understand the concept on not wanting to leave any time for SFla, as he called a pass play (incomplete) right after the timeout Muschamp called to drain the clock.

defense has allowed 333 yards on 49 plays. 2/3 on 4th Dn & 4/9 on 3rd Dn.

- the 4th Dn attempt we failed to convert in the RZ is gonna loom large unless Carolina can get a defensive or special teams swing/score in the 2H. this is the same defensive approach we took with East Carolina. pray for RZ turnovers by SFla.

What's pissing me off is all we heard all week was about the Rushing attack. We just gave up 200 through the air in the first half.

I can live with this year, but I am sick and fricking tired of watching teams get the ball with a minute and scoring before the half seemingly every game.

Ok, i am going to quit, i am just frustrated. I think we have far more talent on d than most people think. Where are all these d line recruits to upgrade us? I dont see them.

Dont you think we have more d talent than say, south florida?

BAW just made a great play

Why do you want our defense to be giving up 70 to usf?

Defense played much better in the 2nd half. Two quarters plus an overtime period tacked on, and we only allowed USF 139 total yds and 17 pts. But we started so poorly in the 1st quarter, and once again looked so unprepared to play someone who gave a damn and was ready to leave it all on the field.

Why is it supposed to be against some unwritten rules for OUR team to come out in games and play that way?

USF was a solid team that can move the ball and score points. They have done that all season long, and have a swagger about themselves in that department. Playing on our heels and slow and reactionary on defense - like we have to begin games all season long - against an offense like that that is playing with a chip on its shoulder, only spells doom.

Still we took them to OT and had our chances at the end. Too many turnovers and mistakes, but it was a very young team playing out there for us.

We desperately need improvement on the DL with pass rushers - Coach Muschamp essentially begged prospects out there during his post-game presser to come help the Gamecocks. He and his staff know what is missing. Our secondary barely had more than a one-deep depth chart this season: next season it will again be young and inexperienced, but have a three-deep across the board. The LB depth will be solid especially if Skai Moore returns: he led the defense in tackling each of his 3 yrs of playing, so he knows how to swarm to the ball and tackle opponents.

The DL is losing a lot of depth with English, Sawyer, Lewis, and Griffin leaving. We have several youngsters that look promising, and hopefully Blackshear is ready to step up. But we need desperately to improve on defense next season - the 2nd half of the season whatever improvements it looked like we had on D in the 1st half, turned in the total opposite direction IMO....

Take a lap. Be thankful that A) we made a bowl despite most people thinking otherwise B) the extra 2-3 weeks of practice for young players and C) all of our offensive yards came from underclassmen. Relay your complaints to the previous coaching staff.
