I admit, I am unhappy Vanderbilt did not win the CWS.

Hos win today and next thing you know Taterheads and Free Shoes kids will think they can win the next one.

I'm unhappy, I wanted the ACC streak of not winning a title to continue.

I was rooting for UF.. So I was pretty disappointed when UVA and Vandy made the finals.

Both UVA and Vandy recruit elite kids in the Northeast.. and so do we to an extent. Except those two schools get their kids on campus. Had Vandy won I felt like it would've been the beginning of a decade of Vandy dominance.

So yes, I'm happy Vandy didn't win. But I'm not happy UVA won. It just got more difficult for SC to win #3.

There are much bigger issues standing between USC and No. 3 than UVA winning their first.

Though, that ACC streak was a thing of beauty.

I was more or less concerns about Vandy matching our CWS titles with what? 3-4 Omaha appearances?

I don't care either way. I just want Holbrook to get our program back at a CWS level next season (at least a Super Regional level) or I want him gone.

Yes it was. I would have been happy to not see it broken.

I can still take solace from Clemson and FSU streaks of most appearances without a title

I was. Some people on the rang were ready to crown Vandy the soon-to-be future 5X in a row CWS champs and new dynasty of the SEC.

I had to keep reminding them of our recent run and how quickly we collapsed.

The beauty of Virginia winning....

1. The first acc team since WF in 1955 wasn't the team that set the acc record best 25-5 in its first year in that league. It wasn't FSU getting Martin his first ever Omaha title in a rediculous amount of tries. It wasn't Miami. It wasn't and will never be Jacklegg.

2. It wasn't anyone from the SEC, especially Corbin.

That said - Holbrook needs to get his collective program back in contention and either win the SEC or Omaha real damn soon.

The CWS wiki page where that stat has become famous .... I'm the one that added that category four or five years ago.

I'm the one that updates the entire article each CWS as well.

I added most of those sub categories .... it's always amazed me how well-known they've become since I added them ... especially the most appearances without a title category.

That page has quadrupled in page views since I basically took it over five or six years ago ... and it's the sub categories that drives the traffic. It just amazes me.
