South Carolina AD Ray Tanner was one of nine administrators selected to be a part of the new Southeastern Conference Working Group on Compliance, Enforcement and Governance, the league announced on Monday. Of the 9, 2 are AD's.

The committee, according to the above release, will develop new strategies for renewing and strengthening the Conference-wide commitment to NCAA compliance while continuing to fulfill the Conference competitive objectives.

The group will review the updated enforcement model, which is expected to include dialogue with the NCAA Vice President for Enforcement; establish best practices for enforcement within the SEC; and update minimum penalties established by the Conference for certain Level III and Level IV rules violations.

Also...
Tanner is also in his first year on the 10-man NCAA Division I baseball committee tasked with selecting the field for the NCAA Tournament.

I wish he would just concentrate on overseeing Holbrook and the baseball team for a little while. He's about to have a problem on his hands if the Gamecocks are not up to par this coming season. I'm hearing a lot of the older crowd is not happy ... me included. It's one thing to put out the effort and get beat but ...

Well, anyways, this is about Tanner being selected for these committees I guess. My bad.

Congrats to Mr. Tanner.

Couldn't agree with you more Rooster, we have a buttload of talent that just expects to win because of the name on the jersey. Way too many games last year where everyone just seemed lethargic the entire game. Chemistry and defense seems off compared to when Tanner was the skipper.
