If they can stay on the team I think they will be in fall practice.
If they are gone I can't get to mad..its not like they ever contributed.

I don't see any way Rhames stays in the team. Allegedly he lied to the police about having a gun and was the only one arrested. As bad as we need DE I don't see how anyone could support a slap on the hand. I've heard that because he grew up in Sumter he should be given a pass because everyone has a gun there. That's an extremely poor excuse. You read about shootings in schools and wonder why no one did anything. Can you imagine the media had this been swept away just for the gun to be used later? I feel for the kid because he has grown up in a generation that doesn't see an issue with what he did but he is going to be judged by people from a different generation that does.

You probably are right that rhames is gone. I was just saying I think they would be back by the fall if not dismissed.

I would assume you have some of the same thoughts I do. Yes, I hope it's minor because we sure could use him but wth was he thinking AND IF he is just a thug then good get him away from the team.

Yeah I may not necessarily agree with a sweeping ban on guns on campus ( I support CWPs) but...its pretty friggin clear you don't bring one on Campus. period.
such a stupid thing to do, especially on campus in a dorm room, which is really safe. Campus Cop response times there are incredibly quick.

In Utah, this wouldn't be an issue...
I kept a 12 gauge in the trunk of my car for 2 or 3 years during the fall while at the Citadel. We were SUPPOSED to check them in at the armory, but most of us never did. It was too much of a pain. After I left there was a cadet get shot with a personal firearm. Things got pretty ugly there after that from what I understand.

well because if he had taken a CWP class he would know you don't carry on campus..so he would still lie.
but I highly doubt he had his CWP so he would have been screwed anywhere

So it was released that it was actually Anthony Rose's gun. He threw it out his window and Rhames and Upshaw hid it in one of their pants and got in vehicle and left.

This part of it doesnt sound that bad....I am guessing that were underage to have a handgun? Either way I would have done the same for my friends.

I don't see why are 3 wouldn't be eligible for PTI. Let them finish that and reinstate them. IF anyone is kick out permanently I would think it would be Rose.

I would agree. I would hope our university has people around the program that will help these kids, but then again its a serious offense to have a firearm on campus in this day in age, especially if it is a scary AR style weapon like the dawg fans were saying it was

haha, I added it in for that reason!
but in todays age and the way people view guns, you can't bring an AR on campus and expect it to go well
